Growing up, I’ve always been slightly judgemental due to the tough love I was given. Whenever I used to cry, I was constantly reminded that I have nothing to cry about and should stop. Now that I’m older, I realise that everybody is on their own unique journeys in life. Everybody goes through hardship. It shouldn’t be measured by how “serious” or how “important” it is. All I know is that the sadness that comes with it is very real and all that matters. We should have more empathy as it is one of life’s greatest gifts you can give to someone who is hurting.
