本校於5月20日上午接獲通報，出現一例確診個案。個案為本校學生，已依照防疫規定進行隔離治療。該同學並未住宿校內，且自5月13日後即未曾進入校園。學校已進行相關疫調，該生與本校附設醫院染疫事件無關。

學校已採取相關所需的防疫措施慎重因應，亦依據該同學提供的資料聯絡相關接觸者，通知進行居家隔離或自主健康管理；並框列所接觸的公共場所地點，相關接觸場域已暫時關閉並進行環境消毒。

隨著疫情警戒提升，社區感染的風險也隨之提高。現除所有課程全面改以遠距教學方式進行，#校園活動亦採停辦、#延期或改以線上方式進行之措施外，#請所有師生同仁遵循防疫要求，#停止非必要的公務、#學習交流，#並停止各館舍間的人員流動，#減少群聚感染風險。

再次提醒全校教職員工生，務必減少人與人間的接觸，如出現疑似症狀，應確實配戴醫用口罩，儘速至附近社區採檢醫院就醫，且不得搭乘大眾交通運輸工具；就醫時，應主動告知接觸史、旅遊史、職業暴露及身邊是否出現其他人有類似症狀。盼全校教職員工生皆能落實防疫措施，確保大家健康平安。

The University was notified this morning (May 20) that an NTU student had been tested positive for COVID-19 who is currently being quarantined in accordance with relevant regulations. The student does not live in the dormitory and since May 13 has not set foot on campus. The University has conducted investigation of abovementioned case and found that the student and the NTUH staff are separate infection incidents.

The University has taken necessary preventive measures and notified people as per the student’s contact history to carry out home quarantine or self-health management. The public places visited by the student has been listed and the University premises visited by the student have been temporarily closed and disinfected.

As the Alert Level rises, the risk of community infection increases as well. Currently, all classes are taught remotely and campus events are either suspended, postponed, or held online. Faculty, staff, and students must follow the preventive measures, suspend non-urgent administrative or educational exchanges, as well as avoid exchanges among staff and students from different premises to minimize the risk of cluster infection.

Last but not lease, please be reminded to minimize contacts with other people and wear a mask if you have suspected symptoms. If you do, please immediately seek medical attention at a nearby hospital for COVID-19 testing. Please do not use any public transportation. When in the hospital for treatment, please voluntarily tell the physician your contact and travel history, potential occupational exposure to the virus, as well as people around you with similar symptoms. The University is asking you all to observe all the preventive measures to safeguard your and others’ health and safety.
