莊普・藝術家｜Tsong Pu・Artist
2018的楊允城以「我在家裡」為主題，創作出近萬張豐富精彩的肖像畫，畫中有古今中外知名的藝術家、作家、音樂人、科學家、導演、影星文化人物，以及社會各階層的「很多很多人」，平日觀察自己的表現，置身不同時空背景下的許多自畫像，更是令人驚嘆他的巧思。這麼多的產量，他的靈感來自平日觀察與自主學習和參照美術史內大師們的經驗，蛻變成少年的「思考」（少年維特的煩惱），告別了「一直一直畫」的兒童時代。
紙或畫布上的作品畫面透露出使用顏料的豐富色彩與層次，在使用工具筆法的運用上，有些也來自古典寫實技法的參照，有了思考，成了楊允城這位「藝術工作者」自由創作的精神，似乎拒絕將繪畫作為一種工具，繪畫沒有任何的社會使命，它不是人們達到目地的手段，否則就是對藝術的褻瀆。
藝術高於哲學和科學，藝術就是生命的投射，藝術即是一切，藝術不需要內容不需要理由，他會高喊著藝術就是藝術。

In 2018, Clement Yang used the theme “I am home” as main theme to create close to ten thousand rich and spectacular paintings. Drawings include renowned artists, writers, composers, scientists, directors, movie stars and “many many people” from different social perspectives. Many of his self-portraits drawn through self-examination and imagining himself in various historical backgrounds, has left others in awe. With so many works of art, his inspiration comes from everyday observation, self-learning and referencing to the historical masters, transforming into the adolescent “reflections” (The Sorrows of Young Werther), bidding farewell to the childhood era of “constant drawing”.
The drawings on paper and canvas display the richness and layers of the colors used. In terms of tool stroke usage, some come from referring to realism techniques of the old times. Reflection became the essence of Clement’s creative essence, refusing to use drawing as a tool. Drawings should not serve any social role. It should not be a means of helping people acquire what they want, or it can be viewed as an offense to the art itself.
Art is higher in value than philosophy and science; it is the projection of life. It does not require content or reason. Clement will call art as being ART.
