An ice cream with chocolate topping for the boy, a cupcake with rainbow sprinkles for the little sister and a café con leche overflowing with milk for the big sister.
It's been so long since I picked up my crochet hooks and one good thing about staying home is that we get to rekindle old hobbies and find time to do the things we love to do. I learnt to do this in Sweden years ago by searching for online tutorials and buying books with cute and easy patterns to follow.
Initially, I wanted to do these amigurumis as gifts for friends but it turned out that the kids loved them a lot and asked me if they could each have one. So they picked their own personal favourite and were delighted to have something handmade with love by Mama.
I asked who would like to learn too because it's always good to pick up a new skill, right? The boy was obviously not interested but the girls immediately sprang into action with a hook and a ball of yarn. While the little sister found it hard to follow and got exhausted after a while, the big girl has been practising some of the easy stitches and is determined to crochet something small soon. I told her that practice and determination will pay off so let's see if she can persevere till the end.
