Loving this amazing parenting and education tools---> Sand Timer!
We started to instill discipline when Joreen is about 13 mths old. Whenever she misbehave, we will explain to her & request her to face the wall /naughty corner /calming corner (whatever you named it haha) Then we will start counting 1 to 60 (1 min for 1 yrs old). Since we have the sand timers now, the timer do the timing job 😝 After awhile, she begin to grasp the concept of time & will say "2 minutes timer finished"!
Then she will apologise, "mama, sorry"
Mama will ask her why say sorry?
Nowadays she (2 yrs old) know how to reply, "nono climbing" etc.
Then mama will explain further, "if u climb, u might fall down & injured yourself"
Then i do the closing by saying, "mama forgive you" and my sweet Joreen will either hug me or sayang my face 😍😍😍😍❤️
