Video Search Product Manager
Description
Videos are transforming the way people consume content and connect with others on Facebook with destinations like Watch enabling people to discover, find, and engage with videos in new ways. In this role, you will be the primary PM for the Video Search team, which focuses on surfacing the best video content for the hundreds of millions of video searches we get everyday. In addition to serving users with delightful experiences that satisfy their video intent, you will work with many other Videos teams at the company to collaborate on efforts such as identifying ways our keyword-based ranking technology can improve content recommendations on discovery surfaces like feed and chaining, or enabling discoverability of new video experiences in Search including creator playlists, hashtag-based content experiences, new video verticals like Sports, News, & Beauty, and more.
Preferred Requirements
Looking for someone who can manage multiple parallel work streams involving the core Video Search team as well as several XFN collaborations with other Videos teams at Facebook (e.g. Watch, Creators, Games, Publisher Experience, Chaining, Rights Management, etc.) Strong product & design sense with past experience building consumer-facing products and well-designed user interfaces. Experience building product experiences powered by ranking backends is desired.
Visual Relevance Product Manager
Description
Facebook has amassed a trillion (and growing!) images across our platform and we've only scratched the surface of understanding the content within these visually rich datasets. In this role, you’ll work with a team of some of our brightest engineers developing cutting edge computer vision technologies to create the next generation of visual signals for the company. By visually understanding our image data across Facebook, you'll empower us to deliver higher quality and more relevant content experiences across a number of different products within the platform including Search, Stories, Marketplace, and more. In addition, you'll help us find new product applications for this technology across the company where leveraging these visual signals can meaningfully improve the user experience.
Preferred Requirements
Looking for someone comfortable with ambiguity in the product plan but excited to help drive and figure this out. Ability to develop XFN relationships across the company and influence other product teams / orgs to see the potential in using this technology to improve their products. Past experience with backend ranking technology tied to user-facing frontend product is desired. Experience working on products powered by machine learning is a plus.
