แม่บ้านคนนั้นก็คือ 'พี่สา' - แม่บ้านบริษัทนึงในซอยห้างฯ แกเอ็นดูทั้งโชคและแฟนสาว คอยดูแลตลอด วันนึงทางห้างฯ แจ้งมาว่าให้ย้ายหมาออกไปแกก็ยังโชคดีที่เจ้าของบริษัทอนุญาตให้พี่สาพาหมาเข้ามาอยู่ในออฟฟิศได้ เงินเดือนพี่สา 8,000 บาท แต่พอเงินเดือนออก สิ่งแรกที่แกทำก็คือไปซื้ออาหาร ซื้อขนมให้โชคและแฟนสาว แต่หลังที่ได้รู้จักกัน เราก็ขออนุญาตดูแลค่าอาหารหมาๆ ที่พี่สาดูแล หมาตรงหอพัก และระหว่างทางจากหอพักมาที่ทำงาน พี่สาหุงข้าว ต้มไก่ทุกเช้าเพื่อคอยให้ข้าวหมาจรพวกนี้ --

จริงๆ ชีวิตพี่สาที่ผ่านมาตั้งแต่รู้จักกัน สิ่งที่ทำให้พี่สาร้องไห้ทุกข์ใจอย่างเดียวคือเรื่องหมาแก แกโดนยามที่ห้างด่า โดนคนดูถูก โดนคนพูดจาไม่ดีเสียๆ หายๆ เพียงเพราะแกให้ข้าวหมา ทั้งๆที่แกจะรอให้หมากินเสร็จทุกครั้งและเก็บกวาดเรียบร้อย

มีทีนึง มีคนเอาหมาโตสองตัวมาปล่อยในซอยห้างฯ แกเห็นแกก็คอยให้ข้าว ทำที่บังฝนให้ เอาตัวลงไปผูกไปพัน ราวกับเป็นความรับผิดชอบของตัวเอง แกเมตตาทั้งๆ ที่ก็ไม่รู้จะทำยังงัย แต่ก็เป็นโชคดีที่คราวนั้นเราหาบ้านให้แกได้ เป็นคุณหมอหนุ่มผู้ใจดีจากรพส.เกษตรนั่นเอง

หลังจากนั้นไม่นาน พี่สาเป็นมะเร็ง
แกผ่าตัด ทำคีโม ฉายแสง ด้วยสิทธิประกันสังคมจนเหมือนจะหายดีแล้ว ประกอบกับบริษัทที่แกทำจะปิดตัว แกจึงบอกว่าจะกลับไปบ้านที่ต่างจังหวัด
พี่สามีเงินเก็บทั้งชีวิตอยู่ 8หมื่นบาท แกใช้ทั้งหมดในการไปต่อเติมบ้านที่ต่างจังหวัด เพื่อที่จะเอาหมาแกไปอยู่ด้วย

พี่สาเป็นคนที่มีชีวิตชีวามาก ถึงจะป่วย จะเจ็บแค่ไหน ก็แค่บ่น ไม่เคยโอดครวญ เหมือนมีโรค ก็รักษาไป - วันๆ คิดแต่เรื่องทำบุญ เรื่องเลี้ยงหมา เรื่องหลาน มีแค่นี้ ขนาดช่วย Covid เราให้หน้ากากผ้าแกไป แกก็เอาส่วนนึงไปถวายพระทั้งๆที่ตอนนั้นหน้ากากก็หายากมากกก - สิ่งเดียวที่แกเป็นห่วงก็คือเรื่องหมา พี่สามีเงินน้อยนะ แต่แกไม่เคยบ่นว่าตัวเองจน เพราะพี่สาขยันและหาอะไรทำตลอดเวลา ไม่เคยขอหรือพึ่งพาใคร ยกเว้นเรื่องหมาที่ยอมให้เราซื้อให้ หรือออกค่ารักษาให้

เสียดายที่แกกลับมาป่วยอีกรอบ และครั้งนี้ก็หนักมาก
แต่ทุกครั้งที่ไปเยี่ยม ถึงแม้ร่างกายจะทรุดโทรม แต่แววตามีแต่ความสุข มีพลัง มีชีวิตชีวา อธิบายไม่ถูกแต่เป็นแววตาของคนเข้มแข็ง ไม่เคยท้ออะไรในชีวิตเลย -- จนเมื่อเช้าของวันนี้ แกก็จากไปอย่างสงบ อาทิตย์ก่อนยัง vdo call กับแก แกแทบจะไม่มีแรงแล้ว แต่ก็พยายามตอบเวลาคุย พยายามยิ้มตลอด เราก็บอกกับแกเสมอว่า พี่สาไม่มีอะไรต้องห่วงแล้วนะ บุญก็ทำ ทานก็ทำ หนี้ก็ไม่มี - ไมมีอะไรดีไปกว่านี้แล้ว : ) เสียดายอย่างเดียวคือไม่ได้มาอยู่ด้วยกันแบบสบายๆ อย่างที่เคยชวนแกไว้
