美國的The Great American Song Book就是一個把不同作曲家的經典標準曲收集在一起的非官方歌集，而《Song Book 歌集》的專輯名稱就是根據這個概念而衍生出來的，藉此賦予Cantopop更深層的文化意義，視Cantopop為一種應被認真看待及傳承保育的文化產物。鍾一諾在《Song Book 歌集》選唱了12位香港作曲家11首由1981年至2002年期間出版的作品 -- 包括粵語流行曲先驅顧嘉煇、許冠傑及林子祥，作曲巨匠林敏怡、盧冠廷、鍾肇峰及柳重言，電子搖滾殿堂劉以達、黃耀明及蔡德才，以及較近期的重要唱作人張佳添及林一峰。除了那12位作曲家的作品外，鍾一諾亦寫了《星聲夢裡人》向每一位為香港這地方譜寫過美妙「樂章」的作曲家致敬，感謝他們用對此地方的愛譜寫出屬於香港自己的歌集。

《Song Book 歌集》是香港首張亦是世界音樂史上也極罕有的歌聲／鋼琴二重奏的大碟。著名天碟監製張景謙亦形容《Song Book 歌集》「已經在香港音樂上締造了歷史，而且更會是一張經得起時間考驗的出色作品！」得到Tony Bennett/Bill Evans1975年的經典歌聲／鋼琴二重奏大碟啟發，鍾一諾構思這專輯時希望回歸音樂的本質，讓聽眾可以不需要太複雜的雕飾下欣賞到純粹一部鋼琴與一把歌聲的交流對話！

A Canto Jazz Vocal Piano Duo
Performing in Cantonese, their new album titled, “Song Book” is award-winning vocalist Roger Chung featuring Jezrael Lucero on keys is a selection of jazzed up cantopop standards from the period 1981-2002. This Hong Kong Song Book concept is inspired by the Great American Song Book, which is an unofficial collection of songs from Broadway musicals, Hollywood movies and classic tunes popular on the radio, such as Somewhere Over the Rainbow (from The Wizard of Oz).

First of its kind in Hong Kong, and one of the very few in the world, “Song Book” is a vocal-piano jazz duo concept album which has been descried by Hong Kong’s own grandmaster of audiophile production Clarence Chang as “instantly creating history.” These cantopop standards are performed in a style that is reminiscent of the classic Tony Bennett/Bill Evans vocal-piano duo album released in 1975, the 40s-60s supper club lounge shows and speakeasy jazz bars. The lead-off single is 'Stardust Melodies', which is dedicated to all the composers who have written beautiful “melodies” for Hong Kong ...

天堂什麼模樣？天堂的模樣形塑了我們在這世上最渴望的東西。那些俗氣的好萊塢電影裡總是用白光來敷衍觀眾。伊斯蘭的天堂則明確許多。聖戰的烈士會有七個處女在天堂等他。天堂裡有清涼的水，有花草水果。這樣的情境源自沙漠民族的渴望。在殘酷的沙漠中，什麼是旅人最期盼的，那就是天堂。

What's heaven like? The look of heaven should embody what's most sought after in this mundane world. But, what confuses me is why white light is always used in those lame Hollywood movies. Islamic heaven, on the other hand, has a clearer definition with icy cold spring water, vegetation and fruit. This concept originates from the desires of desert people. Whatever desert travelers desire the most becomes heaven.

在世界上最大的購物中心後方，據說有個世上最大的音樂噴泉。夕陽在世上最高的建築哈利法塔後方冉冉落下的同時，噴泉響起了 Time To Say Goodbye 這首經典之作。似乎是在暗示這趟旅程也該告個段落。而這美景就像天堂一樣撫順了疲憊的旅人。視線越過了噴泉，遠處的天際線讓我想起了家。是啊，家就是我企盼的天堂。

Behind the world largest shopping mall lays, so I heard, the world's largest music fountain. While the sun is setting in the back of the world's tallest building, the fountain sounds one of the classic songs, Time To Say Goodbye, which seems to hint it is time for our trip to come to an end. And, the heavenly view soothes the weary travelers. Look beyond the the fountain. The skyline reminds me of home sweet home. And then, It just dawns on me that home is heaven I look for.

Neil Patrick Harris, Anna Kendrick and Jack Black perform the opening number "Moving Pictures" at the 2015 #Oscars!

How do you make a great opening number for the Oscars? Get a bunch of Broadway talent to do it.

The production number, "Moving Pictures," sung by Tony-winning Academy Awards host Neil Patrick Harris and "Into the Woods" star Anna Kendrick, was written by Academy Award-winning "Frozen" songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez.

The visuals edited Harris into classic films from "The Wizard of Oz" to "Star Wars" to "Into the Woods."

The middle section of the song, as sung by Jack Black, aped Stephen Sondheim's "Witch's Rap" from Into the Woods, and he warned Harris that he would be “better off polishing your Tony." Kendrick drove him off by yelling “Beat it” and flinging her Cinderella shoe at him.
