【統一7-11 大大，英文標語還是要請人看一下ㄋㄟ】
因應環境保護，很多地方開始不提供或使用塑膠的吸管。我家巷口的 7-11也是蠻衰的，有一個 grammar police 般的客人，真的看不下去，我還是想幫他們改一下。大家想想看，你會怎麼改呢？
原句：In response to the environmental protection. Starting today, we will not provide any straws for drinks.

1️⃣ In response to the environmental protection 這根本不是一句話，除此之外環境保護是抽象意思，後面也沒有修飾語，不需要定冠詞 the (哪個環保？)。重點是整句話好像是在直翻 「因應環境保護」，整句話「台台的」。
2️⃣ 如果是一個萬年告示，是不是 starting today 都無所謂，因為那個 today 是哪一天，客人真的也不知道。
3️⃣ any straws for drinks 是怎樣的吸管呢？所有的吸管都不提供嗎？（以後可能會有紙吸管或是可分解的 biodegradable straws ㄋㄟ) 如果是 for drinks, 那麼如果不是給飲料用的吸管就會提供嗎？
我們可以將整句話改成：
To protect the environment, we no longer offer plastic straws (to customers).
