Miura Haruma. Oh what is there to say... He's 178 cm tall (aka 5'10") and he feels that is a decent height. He weights 63 kg (aka 138.75 lbs), and he feels that is a decent weight. Haruma considers himself a good mix appearance wise so he comes out, in his opinion, average. But being average isn't bad. He's content with not being a hotshot. Sure, Haruma plays with his looks a bit. His hairdo changes every so often just to keep things fresh. It's the artistic side to him that convinces him he suddenly needs bleached blonde streaks across his forehead, or layer upon layer until he could be metaphorically compared to an onion....what, not a good joke? Man... -shrugs-.
The most noteworthy component of Haruma's appearance is most definitely his smile. Let's just face it. He's got a killer smile, and his cute little eyes scrunch up just right so he actually looks like the ^-^ smiley. His mother always said he was adorable when he smiled, so of course he likes smiling. Who doesn't want to please their mother? Haru has a good 'annoyed' face too...all in all his features are quite expressive. This means Haruma has a hard time hiding what he's thinking, but in this business it's a good thing too. For one thing, people can tell because of his grin when working with the camera that he sincerely loves his job to bits.Haruma maintains a very calm and happy-go-easy sort of personality. He, by definition almost, is not an extravagant person. The simple things in life are all he really needs. A few good friends, mostly from his non-work life, a few co-workers he gets along with, a good caring family. That's all he really needs, he feels. Well, that and his camera. But when it comes to people he's not mister social butterfly, but he's not mister social outcast either. Haruma lives in his own little in between world where the thing that matters is capturing the rest of the world on film.
He absolutely adores his camera and all his photography work. It wasn't the job he'd expected, but when the offer came for him to pursue photography as a profession appeared he snatched it with no regrets. Live life with no regrets. That's his motto, more or less. He finishes the things he starts, tries his best to be polite to everyone, and cares abundantly for those simple things that stick out as important in his life. His camera is never far away from Haruma. He carries it with him almost everywhere he goes. Yes, that can get annoying, but he doesn't just want to capture celebrity life through the photoshoots and whatnot. Haruma will take a picture of anything, from a cat passing by on the street to a blimp floating lazily over the city. THe whole world fascinates him, so he goes out of his apartment every morning with his eyes open, not prepared for anything because he doesn't know what fascinating site he'll encounter next.
When Haruma goes for something in life, he jumps wholeheartedly towards it. His work is a good example. His favorite word is Hisshi which translates basically to putting your whole self into what you do. His work is all of Haruma. His friendships are all of Haruma. His family is all of Haruma. His lovelife is all of Haruma too (though at the moment he hasn't found the young lady to spark his interest.) He's not the best at everything, and is well aware of that, but that doesn't mean he won't give his all when trying.
Along with his camera, Haruma brings his mp3 player with him just about anywhere. It's good for inspiration. Like I mentioned earlier, he's an artistic mind. If he weren't then he would never survive in this business but so far his work has been quite comfortable. The job is relatively new, but he started apprenticing once he graduated high school and though his work is still supervised occasionally by higher ups, he is trusted to get the job done right. He's human and makes mistakes. Sometimes the lighting is messed up or he just can't get the right pose or expression out of the model. It can't expected to be perfect every time, but no matter what, Haru does his best and should things go wrong he works harder along with a polite apology. And when you look into his eyes, it's obvious that his apologies are sincere. It was a quiet household. Haruma, his mother, and his father. They had a dog once but as usually happens in time with pets, he went up to doggy heaven. He grew up with a simple life in the Ibaraki Prefecture, north of Tokyo. Went to school. Grew. Studied. He lived a pretty standard life. His parents noted early on that their son was special artistically. He was good at crafts, colored inside the lines before he even had to be told that that was the proper thing to do. He seemed to know which colors looked good together, and where everything should go on a canvas, even with finger painting.
His mum, quite pleased with her son's talent, signed him up for art lessons, but while he was talented, as the years went by his peer's work in those classes would often outshine his. So he was shuffled from drawing to painting to even sewing for one awkward summer before Haruma picked up a camera and everything fell into place. Needless to say, Haruma was good. Very good. He started entering photography competitions in middle school and placed high in all of them. In high school he took more lessons along side his normal schooling and succeeding in being noticed by professionals. Haruma was sought out and though he personally had been planning on going to college to study photography and design, this seemed like an option just as worthwhile.
Haruma began an apprenticeship at age eighteen, and for two years studied photography under the masters. It was more of the glamorous world too, and while Haruma would have been happy just taking pictures of animals or landscape, he ended up taking photos of celebrities. Not that he minded. When he turned twenty Haruma was told that he could go independent now, that those he'd studied with would be glad to continue guiding him should he ever need help. And Haruma bowed thanking them for their guidance.

best camera for landscape photography 在 Photo_Hunter Facebook 八卦
Fabrice Fouillet,
Project : Corpus Christi
Fabrice Fouillet is a French professional photographer based in Paris. In 2013 he won the Professional Architecture category of the Sony World Photography Awards. After earning a degree in Sociology and Ethnology, he studied Photography at The Gobelins School. Since 2004, he has been collaborating with advertising agencies and magazines focusing on Still Life and Architecture.
His personal photographic research explores the notion of identity and the close relationship between humans and the environment. Recognised for his series on new places of worship and resemblance in the 2013 Sony World Photography Awards Open Architecture category, he has gained recognition internationally.
Hi Fabrice. Tell us more about yourself - When and why did you first approach photography?
I believe my passion for photography comes from my high school studies. With courses about European cinema and art-house movies I became more sensible and passionate about themes and images in a deeper and broader sense. Then, I approached photography with a small and old camera, making basic shoots of things all around me. From my house to garden, flowers, trees, and landscape, everything became my subject and I felt I was very serious about it. At the age of 20 it appeared to me a natural thing to try and make it professionally.
Have your previous studies in sociology and ethnology influenced your investigation of space?
The education you receive at a young age influences the rest of your life and I would say that my studies not only influenced the investigation of space, but the overall way I think about my projects. At beginning, I was focusing more on still life projects while now environment and social identity interest me more and more as in the ‘Colosses’ and ‘Eurasism’ series.
Do you have a photographic philosophy?
Be truthful to your own desires and emotions for each project you make. This is my photographic philosophy as finding your own artistic path is not such an easy thing. To me the best way is to remain faithful to your passions, be inspired but not too influenced. Precision, determination, rigor, and hard work are unavoidable in photography and they also form part of my philosophy.
With your winning series ‘Corpus Christi’, capturing new spaces of worship, architecture became a way to narrate humanity and its relationship with minimalism and aestheticism. Why did you choose this theme?
I have always found a graphic quality in religious imagery and particularly in catholic iconography. As an architecture devourer, this was the starting point for this project urging me to look for evidence, confront the classical with contemporary spaces of worship, and a way to take fascinating pictures. Somehow it called me out. I saw aesthetic mystery beyond the often cold, austere and classical representation with a firm anachronism between traditional iconography and modern architecture. In ‘Corpus Christi’ I wanted to highlight this rupture between classical imagery and modern religious architecture.
You won the 2013 #SWPA Professional Architecture category. Where did this take your photography?
Being a 2013 Sony World Photography Awards winner has been a great career step forward and it helped me to span my work, gaining a lot of visibility, interviews and press coverage in France and worldwide. Thanks to the awards, The New York Times Magazine & other media companies have contacted me for architecture commissions. It was a huge satisfaction and encouraged me continue with the art and subjects I am passionate about.
What would you suggest to young photographers aspiring to make create architectural photography?
To push the button can be easy and fast, but architectural photography - and photography in general, requires strong determination. Firstly, remember that between subjects and projects there’s half of the sea. So think carefully about what and how you want to proceed. Then, be precise and rigorous, chase the light and work the frame of course. Sometimes, wait for the good moment. Try again or come back if necessary. Push the limit and don't give up even if discouragement is knocking at the door.
Talking about your new project ‘World’s Tallest Statues’ you recently stated: “I was intrigued by the human need to build these immense shrines to power”. Could you tell us more about it and how you came across this subject?
Indeed, I have just mentioned the importance of determination and these gigantic statues are the perfect example. They symbolise the strong human desire of remembrance and commemoration directly related to the size of the monument. With this project I wanted to investigate the deepest meaning of both ‘symbol’ and ‘cult of personality’ as I have always been fascinated about how historical heroes, leaders or politicians were celebrated or idealised with monumental structures for the sake of collective remembrance.
Research led me to discover lots of monument or statues dedicated to Lenin, Stalin or Mao but despite their cultural and social meaningfulness they were not that big. As the documentation went on, I unexpectedly came across the picture of a huge white statue located in the middle of Dai Kannon, in Sendai, Japan. Sadly, the picture had no caption so I first thought it was unreal, but when I had the proof of its existence, I immediately felt that these huge statues were what I wanted to talk about.

Hello everyone, I am Yap Hui Phong from Malaysia.
In 2020, I filmed a video by studying abroad in New Zealand.
In order to complete these works, I recorded the most primitive and pure nature of New Zealand.
It took me 10 months to realize a self-driving trip across the North and South Islands of New Zealand. The total mileage exceeds 32,000 kilometers.
From Mount Taranaki on the North Island to Mount Cook, the highest peak of the Southern Alps.
From the vast Canterbury Plain on the east coast to the lush and glacier rainforest on the west coast.
I carried 30 kilograms of equipment to the top of the mountains to wait for the sunrise.
Staying at the same place for a few days, just to wait for the moment when the sunset and the lonely bird fly together.
I am obsessed with the magnificent Pacific Ocean. And also marvel at the view of stars under the world's largest International Dark Sky Reserve.
I used to have tears in my eyes under the hot temperature of 38℃, and also shivered in the freezing wind of -12℃.
I can go over the mountain and across the sea, just because I love and enjoying in filming.
I am fearless, just because of the unyielding obsession.
Forgot how many nights there were. I was waiting in front of the tripod to write the entire galaxy into the camera bit by bit.
I keep buying hard drives to store the files. I have took more than 200,000 photos and post-production more than 1,000 hours.
Finally reduced to this 12TB material.
I also forgot how many nights there were. I seat in front of my computer adjusting every details of the photo again and again. And often unconsciously find that the sky outside the window is slightly bright.
In order to be able to capture the Lupins which represent the spring of New Zealand, and also to film the complete four seasons of New Zealand.
I applied for an extension of my visa once again to stay in New Zealand. And waiting by the Lake Tekapo for half a month, just to capture the moment when the Lupins bloom.

Combine what is technically possible with what makes sense photographically.‘ A concept that has been epitomised by Leica since Oskar Barnack laid the foundations for 35 mm photography more than a hundred years ago, with the original Leica.
This concept has been central to our company’s philosophy - based on the art of engineering on one hand, and on visionary risk-taking on the other. A philosophy that leads to innovation, rewriting photographic history again and again. As it has with the new Leica Q, a camera which continues this groundbreaking Leica tradition with a full-frame sensor and a fixed focal length.

Brought Nikon D780 for a hands on field test at the infamous travel spot in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I used the #D780 for both photography and videography attempt, let see if you think this DSLR is suitable for vlog (or not), do I need to add-on a Rode Mic for better audio?
You can judge the video and image quality through this video. Street photos taken will be shown at the end of the video. Thanks for being patience to watch till the end of this lifestyle review, I hope you like this kind of review style. I've shared some tips on how to approach people when I do #streetphotography too.
If you've liked this video, remember to Like and Share it around! It helps a lot! =D
