我小時候暑假天天都打球和打電動，每天跟朋友好好玩。現在當爸爸每天都叫Ryder寫中文作文，看英文書，覺得自己很兇忘了當小孩的樂趣。他說家裡的XBox One都是我在玩，感覺不公平。今天買了新遊戲MineCraft讓他玩，是我朋友介紹的，好像還不錯。遊戲我聽過，蠻有創意，也沒有暴力。我和詠嫻有時候都會忘記他才八歲，就是要開心的玩過暑假。I remember as a kid just playing ball and video games all summer break. Everyday was awesome playing with my friends. Now that I'm a dad, I seem to have forgotten the joys of being a little kid. We make Ryder write Chinese essays and read English books everyday. He always thinks it's unfair that only I get to play the Xbox One so we went out and bought a game for him today that many dads recommended. So far so good, no violence and a lot of creativity. Heard so much about the game before but had never let him play until today. Sometimes I forget he's just an 8yr old little boy and just needs to have fun. 大家好，請教一下
在一本名為《英文文法全書》（作者：Dennis Le Boeuf、景黎明） 的序言中，看到這樣
的說明：

在某座小學裡，學生都會說：「I like to play balls.」
這句話可窘大了，但是學生們渾然不覺！EFL學生如果講錯了，很少能得到有效的糾正，
結果就學了錯誤的英語而不自知，以致於日後講出來、寫出來的都是洋涇濱英語。

我知道balls也有指男性的「蛋蛋」的意思。不過既然如此，「我喜歡玩球」的英文應該
怎麼才好呢？
畢竟「I like to play balls.」對應起來確實蠻直覺的啊！

順帶請教一下，Kai大的連結裡有這麼一句：
Such games have diverse rules and histories and are of mostly unrelated
origins.
我想理解這種"be of n"的寫法，所以暫且減化成簡單的結構：
Such games are of mostly unrelated origins.
如果不用are of...的寫法，我認為可改寫為：
1.the origins of such games are mostly unrelated.
換句話說，be of n就是把這個n變成adj了。
翻譯可翻成：這些遊戲大多是不同的來源的。
更順一點的翻法：這些遊戲的來源大多是不同的。（也就是直接翻1.的寫法）
2.或者乾脆這樣寫：
Such games have mostly unrelated origins.
以上是我的理解，不知是否正確呢？謝謝！
