A decade of Yuna.

I’ve put 11 projects out since I started recording my songs on a gaming microphone. A lot of people seem to think like- let’s put out a hit pop record and get a one hit wonder now and make lotsa money but I knew from the start- this ain’t gonna be an overnight thing for me. Literally 100 songs later, I got my first Gold record.🙏🏽 Thank you everyone who’s been riding with me since the very beginning! Fans, friends, writers, producers, management, labels, bandmates.. I love you. If you only know me from one song, please take time to listen to the others❤️ here’s to another amazing decade for me and you❤️✨ Im gonna do more reminiscing posts so watch this space #adecadeofyuna

A decade of Yuna fashion! A decade of styling myself with whatever I have so that I’d still look fashionable and modest, trying to be creative with the scarf and long sleeves lol figuring out what looks good on me, years of cutting and sewing my own headwrap, trying different turban styles to see which fits (I don’t have a stylist to put my headwrap on everyday!) years of trial and error, multiple fashion faux pas, and years of staying true to what I love and believe in and expressing it through fashion.

Feels pretty surreal putting all these photos together.. My journey literally went from “You have to take off your scarf to be an artist” to “We hate that turban on you” to “We would like you to be our Pantene ambassador.” 🤯 Ain’t life grand alhamdulillah ❤️

Here are some of my favourite fashion moments. From local magazines to @instylemagazine @voguearabia @kinfolk @nylonmag, I can’t wait to do more. To all fashion editors, photographers, makeup artists, fashion designers and stylists I’ve worked with- thank you for letting me create with you. The south east asian muslim women is so under-represented in the fashion industry so I appreciate you taking the leap of faith and working with me🙏🏽❤️
