Sometimes I wonder, knp lah moyang cina ni byk sgt festival. Chinese New Year, Bai Ti Kong, pesta kemas kubur moyang, winter solstice, mooncake festival, mcm mcm.
The more I think, the more simple the reasons appear to be. Festivals are the events all family will gather together. It gave us the reason to meet, to chat, to laugh and to reminisce our wonderful past. I believe sumer bangsa dan agama lain pon sama. To celebrate peace and harmony together.
Today Chinese New Year hari ke-9. Hokkiens believe this the birthday of Jade Emperor (Ti Kong) who protected their ancestors of Hokkien people from the ruthless army in ancient China.
Fireworks and mercun mark the beginning of this day, as well as survival of Hokkien people during those bad times. I tumpang minta maaf kalo ada yg terganggu tidor semalam akibat bunyi mercun!
Malaysia… macam-macam ada. Best kan?
That’s the beauty of Malaysia.
