วันนี้พาแม่มาเที่ยวจันทบุรี กินข้าวกลางวัน แม่บอกว่า "อร่อยจัง" เที่ยวที่นั่นที่นี่ ถามแม่ว่าเหนื่อยไหม แม่บอกว่า "ไม่เหนื่อย สนุกดี"

ระหว่างเข็นรถพาแม่เที่ยว แม่เอ่ยปากว่า "ออกมาแบบนี้ก็ดีนะ ได้เห็นของสวยๆ งามๆ" มีประโยคหนึ่งที่ทำให้ได้คิด แม่บอกกับผมว่า "ไม่ได้ออกมาข้างนอกนี่เราไม่รู้เลยนะ ว่าที่ไหนเปลี่ยนไปยังไงบ้าง" ปกติเราจะกินข้าว เที่ยวเล่นแต่ในกรุงเทพฯ "ออกมาแบบนี้ได้เห็นว่าที่อื่นเป็นยังไง" ผมบอกแม่ว่า "ไว้เราออกมาเที่ยวกันบ่อยๆ ดีมั้ยแม่ เดี๋ยวค่อยๆ ไล่ไปทีละจังหวัด แม่ว่าดีมั้ย" แม่ยิ้มแล้วบอกว่า "ดีๆๆ"

คิดแล้วก็อดตำหนิตัวเองไม่ได้ ที่ไปคิดแทนแม่ กลัวแม่เหนื่อย กลัวแม่รู้สึกลำบากที่จะเคลื่อนตัวไปไหนๆ แต่พอพี่สาวและพี่เขยพยายามหาวิธี พกพารถเข็นพับคันจิ๋วไปไหนมาไหนได้ ข้อจำกัดเดิมก็หายไป แม่เคลื่อนตัวได้สบายจากแรงเข็นรถของลูก เหมือนที่แม่เคยเข็นเราไปไหนมาไหนตอนเด็ก (และอยากให้ทุกที่ออกแบบโดยคิดถึงรถเข็นมากขึ้นด้วยครับ จะเป็นประโยชน์มากเลย)

วันนี้ ผมได้ยินคำว่า "มีความสุข" จากปากแม่หลายหน แม่ไม่ได้พูดคำนี้หรอก แต่หลายประโยคแปลความได้เป็นคำนี้ ไม่นับรวมรอยยิ้ม เสียงหัวเราะ และมุกตลกของแม่อีกต่างหาก

ออกมาเห็นสิ่งใหม่ๆ ก็ดีอย่างหนึ่ง แต่การได้ใช้เวลาคุณภาพร่วมกันก็เป็นอีกองค์ประกอบของความสุข แม่คงมีความสุขที่ครอบครัวเราได้อยู่ด้วยกัน เที่ยวด้วยกัน อร่อยด้วยกัน แม่ก็ยังเป็นแม่ อาหารอร่อยก็จะตักให้ลูกก่อน ไปไหนก็ห่วงลูกก่อน

พอเข้าวัยชรา บางมุมของแม่ก็คล้ายเด็ก ผมกับพี่สาวต้องคอยช่วยเรื่องตักอาหาร ชวนคุยเตือนความจำ ถามคำถามทดสอบสมอง พอแม่กินเยอะเราก็ชม พอแม่จำนู่นนี่ได้ เราก็ปรบมือ แล้วแม่ก็จะยิ้ม
