On the 16th April, Tengku Munazirah and I visited Kampung Pecah Bateri. An isolated rural village deep into the jungles of Pahang. What we saw and experienced left us in shock and dismay.

Imagine trekking through the jungle bare-footed at least TWICE a day just to get 2 bucketfuls of cloudy, stale water and what I am holding in the picture below is their drinking water.
There are 663 million people on earth who do not have access to clean water, unfortunately there are still Malaysians who fall into that category. Water is a basic necessity for us, but why must it be a luxury for them?

With the help of laneige we are providing the villagers in Pahang access to clean and safe water. For each Laneige Water Bank Hydro / Moisture Essence sold, RM 10 will go into the fund for the installation of the Water Filtration System in 6 rural villages.

Clean water has become one of our most precious resources in the 21st century, in fact 1 out of 9 people live without access to clean and drinkable water.

Imagine not being able to turn on the tap to get a glass of clean water. This is the reality for the villagers in some areas of Pahang.
In their lives, there is no existence of a tap, nor clean water.

@laneigemy , Tengku @munazirah and I managed to put this video together to show you what we experienced on our trip to Kampung Pecah Bateri in Pahang.

IF WE CAN HAVE CLEAN WATER, WHY CANT THEY?

For every purchase of the Water Bank Hydro or Moisture Essence at the LANEIGE Water Bar and all LANEIGE outlets and counter, RM 10 from each sale will be directed towards the LANEIGE Waterful Sharing Campaign 2018 Fund to aid in the installation of the water filtration systems in the respective villages.
