終於來到這天了，同學，現在馬上點進連結就可以買書了！這本由金鼎獎作家－林滿秋和本人－黃雅玲，所共同呈現的一部青少年成長現代小說。
話說回來我昨天說到哪裡了呢？好的，夜市一景是我用傳統技法，水彩和色鉛筆所繪製，再掃圖再電腦去做背景色和前景物的合圖，第一次這樣做，自己還蠻滿意這樣的效果的，當然在這裡為了逼大家去買書(?)，我只給大家看局部的部分。
去年底一開始拿到故事文本時，覺得時空錯亂回到高中校園的感覺，大概是充滿詩意的少女情懷滿溢我的身心靈，再閱讀這本書的幾天的時間裡，跟隨著書裡的角色一起載浮載沉身陷在故事的漩渦裡。裡頭不僅提及主角與家人的親情關係、和朋友之間的友誼、私密的情感和秘密和渴望被了解，也提及校園霸凌一事，這些很貼近時下社會議題，其實部事只發生在校園裡，反而是出現在我們生活周遭的，每個人都有一則故事，而這些故事不管到幾歲，都一直伴隨著我們成長成更好的人。祝福。

It's a YA book for not only teenagers but also for all ages. The picture I shared yesterday I literally drew with watercolour and colour pencil and I scanned both the background and the main illustration then I layer them up. It was my first time using this technique in illustration for YA book, the result turned out good and I am quite happy with. Here below is the partial pic. The story is about friendship between two girls as well as other issues we have nowadays, such as family ship, bulling and a desire to be understood by people who you love and care, etc. which not only for young people since we all learn things from different people everyday no matter what age we are, but for you who have the same feeling as me. 今天來分享一下這張夜市景象的完稿。技法是水彩和色鉛筆，前景和背景分開畫，各自掃描後進Photoshop和圖。其實這張草圖並沒有什麼改，除人物比例第一次的時候沒有抓好，在上色的時候一度覺得很順利，在信心滿滿地完成插圖後把他們傳給編輯，後來得到一個不是太令人滿意的回覆，因為我把大部分的圖畫得太灰暗了，畢竟是給青少年而不是成人的一部小說，我因為忽略了這點後來在顏色上全部修改，吃了很多苦頭。這張是唯一沒有改很多的，但在顏色上，能看出來，在最終版的地方，多了光影變化，而人物的部分，女孩的年紀其實只有大學，在第二版的時候一並修改。在接這個案子之前，我有一段時間都是在畫插畫給＂兒童＂，我一直以為我能在這之間轉換得很好，但這個案子之後我也學到差異所在，是需要時間和耐心去沉澱，最終才能化為自己的語言去呈現的。

It's a YA novel book for not only teenagers but also for all ages. I drew with watercolour and colour pencil and I scanned both the background and the main illustration then I layer them up in Photoshop. The thumbnail was actually not too bad, as I mean it didn't change much from the first draft and it was alright for me to continue the artworks. Unfortunately, I had missed out a few things. Firstly, my attention on the artwork was a wrong aim to adult but it's for teenager so all my 14 images were all too dark and depressing. I had to change most of images as my editor suggested to bright them all up. Therefore, I spent another weeks to revise and got a bit fed up from the time pressure. Just before I did the illustrations for this book commission, I was mainly making illustrations for children. At first, I though I could handle it but I was wrong. Somehow, I have learned a lesson that it's a visual language that needs time and patience to jump from on to another. Okies, I shoud go back to work and hope you like my sharing. Any kinds of comments are welcomed. xx

I again used one of my own photos I took near Kagurazaka while walking late at night with Kana. The small dark alley seemed interesting but in the end I decided to paint the view one can see from the dark end of it.

First video from my small “Mushishi" related project. I will be making a painter’s version of the Mushishi-box to use during my outdoor painting sessions as a small hobby project. I will be posting illustrations, sketches, and the building progress photos and videos. Ultimately I want to show you how the box performs outside! This is just my hobby/DIY thing, and not a tutorial by any means (I’m not a professional carpenter 😉 )
This video is about painting the main character of “Mushishi” - Ginko in my style. The background is inspired by the Tokaido road I saw while on vacations in Hakone and watercolour works by Oga Kazuo.
