Ca sĩ Ed Sheeran nhận danh hiệu "Nghệ sĩ của thập kỷ" nhờ thành công về mặt thương mại trong làng nhạc Anh.
Official Charts Company - tổ chức điều hành các bảng xếp hạng âm nhạc uy tín nhất nước Anh - công bố danh hiệu cho Ed Sheeran hôm 11/12. Martin Talbot - giám đốc tổ chức - nhận xét Ed thống trị làng nhạc từ năm 2010 đến 2019. Giọng ca Shape Of You có 12 bản thu đứng đầu bảng xếp hạng âm nhạc Anh, hơn tất cả nghệ sĩ khác. Anh có tổng cộng 79 tuần đứng hạng một tại các bảng xếp hạng album và đĩa đơn bán chạy trong thập kỷ qua.
Ed Sheeran cũng có ba ca khúc trong top năm những bản hit thành công nhất nước Anh thập kỷ qua. Shape Of You là ca khúc được yêu thích nhất, đứng 14 tuần ở vị trí đĩa đơn bán chạy với tổng doanh số 4,5 triệu bản. Hai ca khúc còn lại là Thinking Out Loud (hạng ba) và Perfect (hạng năm). Ed Sheeran, 28 tuổi, hiện là ca sĩ, nhạc sĩ hàng đầu thế giới. Anh gia nhập làng nhạc từ năm 2004, gây chú ý với khả năng sáng tác và được nhiều nghệ sĩ tìm đến.
