Happy New Year everyone!

What a year 2018 was! Singapore caught the world’s attention in June, when we hosted the Summit between US President Trump and DPRK Chairman Kim. Then in November we welcomed many leaders to Singapore as chair of ASEAN.

Nearer to home, Malaysia elected a new government. Since then, several difficult issues have arisen in our bilateral relations. We will deal with them calmly and constructively, while preserving the overall relationship with Malaysia, as we have done over the years with successive leaders and governments.

Domestically, we are making progress in healthcare, education, housing, and transport. In many countries, societies are under stress. People are frustrated that their lives are not improving, and political systems are malfunctioning. We have coped better than most – we have worked closely together to improve the lives of all Singaporeans, and will continue to do so.

We have also made progress in leadership succession. We now have in place a team of capable and competent leaders who will lead us forward in the longer term.

Despite the uncertain external environment and economic outlook, we are entering our Bicentennial Year with renewed vigour and purpose. I ask Singaporeans to stay united so that we can tackle our challenges together, and make further progress in building a secure, harmonious and prosperous nation.

I believe that the King of Fighters fans should remember that we had CGi animation of the game called The King of Fighters Destiny that brought the meat of the game in part 94 to be re-interpreted by the team created from China and this time. Official sequel as Awaken is back and preparing for building now.

The King of Fighters Awaken is a work from iDragon Creative Studio, Destiny's Animation Team released in 2017, which is the content of the game in part 96 that Kusanagi Kyo will face Goeniz, one of the four devils. The paradise of eight Orochi poles with the purpose of awakening Orochi to cleanse the world, including the launch of Kusanagi family's forever grudges like Iori Yagami.

[教育時評] 成長心態的十大必知 10 Must-Knows for a Growth Mindset

透過持續的完成人生的短期與長期目標，我們在探索和反省中逐漸了解自我，從而找到人生目標。擁有人生目標便可有效制定更明確的長短期目標，從而有規劃的活出自己想要的人生。

然而人生目標形成與達成皆需要經歷許多人生的歷練，制定相關的精準目標有需經歷探索，那年輕的同學到底要如何在尚未明確的現階段來設定目標?

每一個人完成探索目標的時間當然不同，過程中我們的目標也會不停的變動，甚至許多人可能一輩子也未必能覺察自己的人生目標。然而透過一個彈性的成長心態 (a flexible growth mindset)和他人指導，我們可以更有效率輔助自己建立和完成目標。

以下是我透過自身經驗，並參考近代教育理論與心理學，幫同學寫的「成長心態的10個必知 / 10 Must Knows」，以便更進一步的探討如何建立和達成自己的目標:

1. Know what you want in life. While short-term goals may be ever-changing, you can start by having an overall sense of purpose or change that you want to make. For me, it was initially to have financial stability but eventually transformed to contributing to educational leadership. Having an overall purpose can help you align your short-term objectives with long-term goals, making accomplishing them far more efficient and motivating.

知道自己的目的。儘管短期目標可能會發生變化，但你應該對目標或要做出的改變有全面的認知。 對我來說，最初的目標是財務穩定，但最終轉變為對教育領導的貢獻。有一個總體目標可以幫助自己保持短期目標與長期目標的一致，從而更有效、更有動力地實現這些目標。

2. Know that you can solve your problems and make changes in your life. 4. Know that consistently meeting small and realistic objectives that align with your bigger goals and purpose is the most efficient way to achievement. Do not try to accomplish too many things at once or your might not accomplish anything at all in the end. Set realistic goals that you can adjust and achieve a step at a time.

知道實現與長期目標相符的短期目標是達成人生目標最有效的方法。確定目標實現的優先順序，不要試圖一次完成太多的事情，否則最終可能徒勞無功。

5. Know that achieving your goals take time and consistent effort. You must make plans and keep schedules to keep yourself from procrastinating. Do not think you can reach your end goal in a week and then be disappointed by your failure. Taking a small step each day will enable you to make great strides in life. You must also prioritize which objectives to meet first and have a plan for doing so. Consult your mentors, parents, and peers, have a discussion, and come up with your own plan.

The Menace Among Us is a semi-cooperative game of intrigue and survival in deep space. Adrift and powerless, your crippled vessel is bleeding oxygen. As you effect repairs, every breath you take brings you one step closer to death. You must work together to restore power before the air runs out — but hidden among you, as loyal friends and crew members, are imposters who have infiltrated security and continue to sabotage the ship. Their only goal is to avoid detection and kill the crew, by force or by asphyxiation. Can you identify them in time and eliminate the threat? Or will succumb to the menace among us?

The Menace Among Us is a 40 to 60-minute, asymmetrical card game for 4-8 players. Each player chooses an Agenda at random, either a loyal Crew member, a deadly Menace or the Coward, who’ll take any side just to survive. Your Agenda card sets a Team Goal and an Individual Goal, as well as outlines any special abilities and the card composition of your individual 13-card deck. Then, knowing your Agenda and Goals, you choose a Character who you believe will best help you achieve them or mask your true identity. Characters add 7 new cards to your deck, shuffle-building a unique combination of cards, as well as provide you two specialized Above Deck Actions.

In this hidden traitor game, how you play your cards and abilities is far more important than the meta game aspects of accusations and denials. Cards are played face down and shuffled together as “Below Deck Actions.” Here, Menace players secretly sabotage the ship’s systems and attack crew members, who are trying to save the ship with their cards. If too few crew members risk going below deck to effect repairs, the ship’s Emergency Maintenance Assistant (EmMA) adds cards to the pile to help. However, the system has also been compromised and occasionally places damaging cards into the mix, providing plausible deniability to the Menace players. In contrast, Above Deck Actions are conducted in full view of the crew. Most of these abilities have costs, either in Energy or Oxygen, both resources the crew is trying to increase. So, while The Doctor has the ability to heal a crew member and remove a debilitating effect, a Menace player, who may be secretly in control of The Doctor, cares far more that it costs 2 Oxygen to perform the healing.

At some point, someone’s behavior will raise suspicion. But, did they do so because they are trying to fulfill an Individual Goal – or are they a Menace? You can call a vote to expose their true nature. But if they are a loyal Crew member, you’ve just blown precious Oxygen in the effort to detain them. For that matter, was it a Menace player calling the vote in hopes of wasting the air on purpose?

If the Crew can find and eliminate the Menace players – and raise the Energy to a safe threshold before the air runs out, they win. If the Menace can prevent this or kill the crew outright, their mission succeeds. Special commendations are awarded for surviving and for achieving your Individual Goal.
