PRESS RELEASE BY DR ZAKIR NAIK.
“My praise of Malaysian Govt’s fair treatment of minorities has been twisted to politicize me and create racial disharmony; it will not succeed”, says Dr Zakir Naik.
Putra Jaya, Aug 13, 2019 – Renowned Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik has hit back at allegations that he was creating religious disharmony among Malaysians, by alleging that his detractors were wrongly quoting him out of context with a view to politicise and malign him. Dr. Naik also added that he had actually praised Malaysia for its genuinely Islamic way of treating Hindu minorities and in upholding their rights, something that the Indian government had failed to do with its minorities.
Dr Zakir Naik was responding to questions following a series of three lectures spanning over three days, organised by the Kelantan State Government. Dr Naik spoke extensively on the topics of ‘Qur’aan - The Path to Happiness’, ‘Misconceptions about Islam’ and ‘Islamophobia’. The third event was held at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu city of Malaysia and saw a record attendance of 100,000 men, women and children from across the state. It received a massive response from the people who stayed back till the early hours of the morning.
In an humbling moment on 9th August, Dr Zakir Naik was also conferred the Daa’ee Ummah award, the highest religious award of Kelantan by Ustaz Dato Ahmad Yakob, the Chief Minister of Kelantan.
Said Dr Naik, “The allegations reported in the media are mischievous and designed to not only politicize me but also create religious disharmony within the community. Recordings of my talks will reveal that the reality is the opposite of what is being alleged. After my lecture on “Misconceptions about Islaam”, I was asked a specific question from the audience on the ongoing Kashmir issue and the plight of Muslims in India. In my reply I actually praised Malaysia and its government for the way it has been treating its Hindu minorities and for giving them their due rights, something that the Indian government has failed to do with Muslim minorities in India."
"On the charges against me by the Modi government, my stance was very categorical. I found it unfair that a certain group of Hindus in Malaysia seemed to trust the Modi government more than the Interpol, or the Indian courts, or the Malaysian government itself. My praise of the Malaysian government for its Islamic and fair treatment of Hindu minorities is being twisted and misquoted to suit political gains and create communal rifts.”
According to Dr Naik, the event’s scale and success did not go down well with the groups that do not like him. “The event audience that constituted mainly Muslim men and women as well as media persons did not find anything wrong in all the eight hours of my three lectures and Question and Answer Sessions. However, it took more than three days for my detractors to create an issue out of nothing. Any attempts to create a communal rift is unfair towards the people of Malaysia and I’m sure, In Sha Allah, that these attempts will fail,” added Dr. Naik.
*Dr Zakir Naik explains his stance in detail in a statement below –*
"After my speech on 9th August at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Bharu, there were very positive reports in the media for the next two days. The media also mentioned that I had supported Tun Mahathir. This could not be digested by a certain clique of politically-motivated hate-mongers within the country. It seems that these people scanned my lectures in a desperate attempt to pick out something blameworthy and vilify me. Having found nothing they could use against me, they resorted to dishonest schemes. Since yesterday, the 12th of August, there has been a campaign in the media against me. The allegations are based on out-of-context statements, deliberate misquotations and even complete fabrications intended to malign me for political agendas.
They alleged, “Naik recently compared the Hindus in Malaysia to the Muslims in India and said that the former enjoyed more than 100% rights in Malaysia compared to Muslims in India. He further said that it was unfortunate that Hindus in Malaysia, despite the benefits, are more loyal to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi than to Tun Dr Mahathir.” Then they went on to say that I am creating racial and religious disharmony and communal hatred.
Firstly, I never said the above in my speech. There was a question posed to me after my second talk in Kelantan on 8th August regarding the Indian government deleting Article 370 from its constitution and its atrocities in Kashmir. The questioner also asked how the Malaysians and brothers in Islam should react.
My reply lasted more than 24 minutes and towards the end I said, “What’s happening in India? In India we Muslims are a minority, according to the government 14.5%, Muslims say we are about 20–25%, but even if we agree 14.5%, here the non-Muslims—the Hindus—are 6.3% to 6.4%. The Hindus in Malaysia get 100 times more rights than the Muslims in India. Good Alhamdulillah, I am not saying take away their rights. Good, this is what Muslims should do. They are half the percentage, numbers-wise very less, half the percentage of India where Muslims are, yet the rights they get here is hundred times more than what India gives rights to minorities. So much so that they support the Prime Minister of India but not the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Masha Allah. The PM of India wants me, the PM of Malaysia does not want injustice to be done to me. The Hindu Malaysians, most of them support the PM of India. There is no evidence against me in the Malaysian police. Interpol says no evidence, they are believing more in India, they are more Indian than the Indians themselves. And yet they are enjoying Alhamdulillah. At least the Muslims should get their rights.”
I did not say Hindus in Malaysia get 100% more rights than Muslims in India but I said, “Hindus in Malaysia get 100 times more rights than Muslims in India,” which is 10,000% and not 100%. I did not stop there but went further to say, “Good Alhamdulillah, I am not saying take away their rights. GOOD, THIS IS WHAT MUSLIMS SHOULD DO.” I applauded the Malaysian government as well as the Muslims in Malaysia and asked them to continue to treat the Hindu minorities justly, as instructed in Islam. I never said that Muslims in Malaysia should retaliate against the Hindus in Malaysia because of how Muslims in India are being persecuted. They are being forced to say “Jai Sri Ram”, and if they do not say it many are being lynched in public. Many Muslims are being killed for allegations of eating beef, etc. More than 36 Muslims were lynched and killed in public in the last two years, etc. Yet, as I reiterated, none of this justifies the mistreatment of another people elsewhere in the world. In fact, I said Malaysia should continue to follow Islamic teachings and be good and just to the Hindu minority. I have also said many times in my speeches and Q&A sessions that Muslims should always be good to non-Muslims even if they ill-treat us. “Nor can goodness and Evil be equal. Repel (Evil) with what is better: then will the one whom between you and him was hatred become as though he was a devoted friend.” (Al Qur’aan 41:34)
Secondly I never made a general statement as claimed by them that, “It was unfortunate that Hindus in Malaysia, despite the benefits, are more loyal to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi than to Tun Dr Mahathir.” What I said was in context of my own case—that some Hindu groups opted to support the Modi government in its extradition request despite there being no evidence against me, and despite the fact that the Interpol, the Indian court and Malaysian government have rejected the false accusations directed at me.
It should be blindingly obvious to anybody who looks at the situation with a fair mind, that I am being deliberately misrepresented. These politically-motivated people misquoted me with the intention of getting me arrested. But no just court of law, including the Malaysian court, will ever agree with their accusations. Rather, it is these people who should be taken to task for creating racial disharmony and hatred between two religious communities in the multicultural nation of Malaysia."

Italy Senate Foreign Relations Committee
Testimony by Joshua Wong
Good afternoon,
May I first express our heartfelt gratitude to the Senate’s generous invitation to give testimony before the honourable Senators and Congressmen, even though I’m not allowed to fly to Italy. The very moment I was rejected by the court to travel, I felt that it was even worse than deciding my sentences in jail as I would not be able to meet with friends in Europe to explain our cause for democracy and freedom.
Implications of Local Election result
As you may aware of Hong Kong’s local election record-high turnout, almost 3 million Hong Kong people, in a community and policy-based election, had cast ballot to express our discontent to the government and huge distrust to the Beijing authorities. Democrats went up to 385 seats, but the largest pro-Beijing party DAB, who owned 119 seats in the last term, had reduced to 21 seats.
The significance of this election to the world is that HK's current political crisis must be resolved by political solution, instead of policing force. The implications of this election are more than the number of seats in the council, but a sharp political message to the world that Hong Kong people stand with fellow protestors, and our resolve to free elections and a thoroughly independent investigation on police brutality. These humble demands are denied by China since 1997.
Civil Liberties Denied
Unfortunately, I have the most frequent encounters of civil liberties deprivation recently. At first, I went protesting against the controversial extradition bill, exercising my freedom to assembly. The government arrested me and charged me of inciting people taking part in an unlawful assembly. Then I went contesting in this local election, yet the government banned me from running for office because of my political stance. I turned to international advocacy, planning to fly to Italy explain to friends in Europe our democratic and peaceful cause. Regrettably, the court thought this Senate hearing is not important and rejected my travel application. Following the court decision, it's clear now I'm deprived of the right to election, freedom of movement, freedom of assembly (not allowed to appear on designated area), and freedom of speech. The civil liberties guaranteed in the constitution are however no longer applicable to me.
The principle of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ is a fragile ruling philosophy defining China-Hong Kong relations, guaranteeing the global financial city its autonomy. But in the past 22 years, Beijing intervened on many fronts already. Since 2014, Hong Kong’s civil society, particularly student leaders, had become the target of revenge in the past 5 years. I was arrested for 3 times, prosecuted and later imprisoned for my leading role in the Umbrella Movement. My colleague, Nathan Law, the youngest Councillor in HK’s history, was unseated and later imprisoned for the same reason. So this time people learnt from the experience and not to rely on particular ‘leading activists’ in order to prevent them from exposing to political prosecution. Besides, In the past three years, altogether Six elected legislators are disqualified for ridiculous reasons and led to an uninvited constitutional re-interpretation by Beijing.
Most recently in last week, Chinese troops, not only ready to be deployed, they have actually deployed soldiers near university area with an excuse to 'clear the barricades' of the streets. It is important to voice out to the global community, which is an attempt to coerce China's aggressive behavior using international pressure.
Trusted and Self-correcting protestors VS Abusive Police Power
In the past five months, I took a lot of interviews from journalists all over the world who are interested in reporting Hong Kong. They often find it difficult to understand why a social movement can be led without a leader, why protestors’ use of force is tolerated by fellow Hong Kong people and whether there is foreign forces behind this movement. Behind all these questions, I would like to appeal to you two messages:
firstly, the police brutality is far more serious than what is reported. Pregnant women also got beaten by police; young female (who is not a protestor) was gang raped inside the police station and many others
Secondly, there is strong and mutual trust among protestors. Certainly, protestors always have different tactical viewpoints. But there are apparently some principles guiding protestors’ decision-making, to name a few: to achieve the five demands, to prevent casualty, to avoid being arrested and to achieve mass support. These principles are essential, although we have suffered a lot of notorious police brutality in the past five months, making us more determined to fight for the five demands in solidarity.
As I mentioned the above, I realise these features are the important elements when practising democracy - mutual trust, transparency, people’s mandate, checks-and-balance. It is just ironic that Hong Kong is far from practising full democracy and free election under the authoritarian rule of Xi Jinping.
Another Frontier: International Advocacy
International advocacy is another frontier that Hong Kong people are keen on taking part in. It is the reason why I find compelled to travel and explain our cause and demands to the world. Before testifying in this committee, I attended an assembly an hour ago to yield for international support and to express our acknowledgement to advocacy efforts on the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act. The bill is signed by the US President today to coerce and prevent further human rights violation in Hong Kong. I also wrote to several Italian papers to share the viewpoints of the protestors during this period. To enhance the understanding of Hong Kong and deteriorating human right situation in China is essential for world leaders to make an informed choice in their collaboration with the Chinese authorities too.
Why Italy should care about Hong Kong?
However, I have to say I'm quite disappointed reading the Italy Foreign Minister’s Luigi Di Maio indifferent remarks on the dire human rights situation in Hong Kong. Prolonged police brutality since June this year, what protestors facing are live round bullets. Not to mention the fact that some Italian car factories like IVECO did play a part in the brutality of Hong Kong police by supplying police vehicles. I believe a responsible state like Italy should take the conscience of human dignity into consideration.
In fact, Hong Kong can serve as a story to learn from. We were unaware of the Chinese regime's intention to gain influence and control over our economy in the early years. And our economy now is to some extent too reliant on China, which makes our battle for freedom and democracy harder. Italy should stay alert to the reliance on Chinese economic interests. There's no free lunch in the world.
Many would say I am over worrying or being too skeptical about China. But the truth is China is known for not playing by the rules and has a notorious track record for its human rights violations. The failure of 'One Country Two Systems' in Hong Kong represents the notorious track record of China not honouring the international treaty signed in 1984. Besides, there are hundreds of thousands of Muslim Uighurs have been detained in camps without trial now. Victims have come forth and said they are forced to take medicines that lead to infertility, young female Uighurs are forced into marriage with Chinese officials to exchange for the safety of their families. 30 years ago, the Chinese Government sent tanks against its own people on the 4th June despite the public and global attention. It almost happened last week in two universities lockdown and it is my view that the international pressure had prevented this massacre from happening.
Possible Actions by Italy
Finally, I understand that Business leaders and politicians worry that if they directly confront China on its human rights abuses, it could jeopardize future deals. Yet it is my humble wish Italy will also be truth-ful to the promises the European Union has made. EU have pledged themselves to defend and advocate for human rights in neighboring countries and the world and promised to never directly or indirectly encourage human rights violations. Italy and the rest of the free world should refrain from turning a blind eye to this.
Our position is clear: HK people are defending not only the civil liberties, democratic values and economic freedom of this international city. Standing up against the largest authoritarian regime after the Cold War, we shall continue our fight for democracy lest HK becomes a police state nor an authoritarian state. I appeal to you to stand with the people of Hong Kong.
Thank you.

One Piece Kaizoku Musou (Pirate Warriors) : 海賊 vs CP9, ロブ・ルッチ (Rob Lucci)
難しい Hard Mode
Main Log: EP11 - Straw Hats vs CP9 Scenario
6:31 - Kaku
12:45 - Rob Lucci
Before starting the stage !GET! "パラミシア" [Paramecia] The coin set skill for longer stun duration! It will help you a lot.
Jabra's fight is easy but the stupid camera angles are the worse... I try to bait him into the area where the item box reside before I fight him. It just atrocious to fight at the corners with the camera keep zooming in where I can't see my character...
Just □, □, R1 or □, □, △, R1 and repeat. R1 for Sanji is like a homing rebound kick that continues a combo.
Kaku is easy, just be patient and do 1 or 2 hit combo to bait him on doing that nose ground pound for stun opportunity.
Phase 1: Rob Lucci strategy is just try combo your way through and try use evade when he does a combo into rankyaku. When he does a blue glow stance, dash break his stance for combo opportunity. (press attack button once then evade toward the enemy's stance to dash break, if you don't press attack once and just evade toward the enemy you will not emit a blue glow to signify that you are dash breaking) If you miss the timing to dash break he usually does a combo or 嵐脚 豹尾 Rankyaku Hyobi and if it's a combo then you can use special to try break away/prevent getting punish with his full combo.
15:53 - Phase 2: Rob Lucci is what makes this fight the hardest, Lucci got two new attacks that can take 1/2! or even more! of your hp in hard and additional with the stupid foot soldier marines shooting bazooka at you that mess up your combo + hurt you...
My advice is to use the special here and try thin down the marine size but don't kill them all, leave 1/3 of them alive because more will spawn! Shield marines too!
Key to winning this is go apeshit and chase Lucci down. You want to do enough damage to cancel out his 飛ぶ指銃 Tobu Shigun or 剃 Soru. You might want to use special for the invincible frames to prevent getting hurt by his soru. Also don't forget to dash break if you got the chance as for some reason a successful dash break can also cancel/prevent the marines from shooting the bazooka.
19:45 - Phase 3: Rob Lucci is easy once you get the timing of the canon ball QTE. For some reason my first few times ゴムゴムの風船 Gomu Gomu no Fusen did not activate... When you fight Lucci just use ゴムゴムのJET銃(ピストル)Gomu Gomu no Jet Pistol, saves you time and strength... It has knock-back effect that nullify all his attack, you'll see what I mean.
When returning from the ship to the battle area with Lucci, the QTE sequence is □, △, х, △, х, □ then х. Easy Easy Phase!
Rob Lucci phase 1+2 is the hardest fight for me so far. It took me 2 days to finally beat him, freaking foot soldier marines in phase 2 always kill me when I was this close to getting to phase 3 or either getting one shot'ed by 飛ぶ指銃 Tobu Shigun. Phase 1 and phase 2 will be continuous whereas phase 3 there is a checkpoint at the start for retries. If you retry more than 3+ times, more item box would appear and I tend to reload my save to negate those extras but for this fight I really needed them. The game has no save point throughout the episode thus I don't want to repeat Jabra and Kaku's fight but either way its really hard to fight Rob Lucci on hard where he can take 1/3 of your hp from a single attack thus I needed those extra items.
