前陣子又去了一家有機農場拜訪+勘查,因為我們從去年九月開始蔬菜都是從這裡訂的,很想看看種植環境如何,也見見幫我們種菜的人(都是笑容可掬的阿公阿嬤)。以前的我不覺得吃有機或本地蔬菜很重要,但越深入了解就越發現其實這是繼吃純素之後,在健康和環保方面我可以做得更好的地方。
一般在商店買有機蔬菜的挑戰就是很多都用塑膠袋、塑膠盒裝好才賣,但這裡是可以用紙袋的,像玉米、花椰菜、馬鈴薯這種比較堅固的,根本連袋子都不用裝,直接放箱子裡就好。
對我們來說,其實平時不用花大錢吃大餐,兩人在家一起研究新食譜、做出一頓美食,就是最幸福的事情。💗

Recently we visited another organic farm in Shanghai where we've been ordering our vegetables regularly since September last year. It was so nice meeting the sweet grandmas and grandpas who grow our food. A few years ago I didn't care about eating organic or local, but I've come to realize that it's such a simple but powerful thing I can do to improve my health and protect the environment besides going vegan.
A common challenge I used to face when buying organic was that everything was packaged in plastic, but not this farm - they deliver in paper bags and sometimes no bags at all for some vegetables.
We don't need to spend a lot of money eating out to enjoy life. Trying out new recipes and cooking at home together sounds way more exciting! 💗

🌎 世界地球日 🌎
這是一戶位於上海崇明島的有機農家,離市中心搭大眾運輸約兩個多小時。他們日出而作、日落而息,在自家田地種有機蔬菜,產量不多,也沒有打算外銷,但能自給自足。
透過朋友認識,我們和一群友人幾個月前有幸拜訪,花了一天在農地裡摘四季豆、採辣椒、挖花生、挖地瓜,食材都有了之後大家再一起烹調,菜色豐富,吃得超飽(現場做的中餐晚餐都是簡單的炒青菜、蒸南瓜之類的,都是純素食,佔了約1%的葷食則是有其他人自己帶來的)。
當天晚上有部份友人選擇留宿,在草坪上搭起了帳篷,隔天早晨在陽光沐浴中以做瑜珈、冥想開啟一天。猜猜最後我們總共付了多少錢?這戶農家只願意跟我們每人收相當於台幣125元的蔬菜錢。他們做這件事不是為了要做生意,而是以給予的心態和我們這些「城市人」分享屬於他們的純樸寶藏。
雖然我就去了那麼一次,但卻經常想到這個地方。如此單純又可負擔的生活,在現代人來說卻好像奢侈品。世界地球日,期許讓自己身邊的一切更加簡單、更加自然。💚

🌎 Earth Day 🌎
A few months ago Narayan and I visited an organic farm with a group of friends on Chongming Island, Shanghai. We spent the day harvesting all kinds of vegetables: beans, chili pepper, peanuts, sweet potatoes and more. After that we washed them, cooked them, and enjoyed a 99% vegan feast while having great conversations.
Some people stayed for the night, camping on the lawn and waking up to yoga and meditation in the sun. And in the end, the family who owns the farm was only willing to charge us $4 per person. It's clear they weren't doing this for profit, but offering the experience in the spirit of the gift.
It's easy to forget that life could be so simple and affordable. Thank you for the reminder. 💚

【ingredients】Toyo type(180×70×50mm)
100g Sweet chocolate
15g Unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tablespoons hot water
250ml milk
200ml heavy Cream(42%)
30g Granulated sugar
50g condensed milk
8g Powdered gelatin
40ml water
Cocoa powder appropriate amount
【材料】トヨ型(180×70×50mm)
スイートチョコレート 100g
ココアパウダー(無糖) 15g
熱湯 大さじ2
牛乳 250ml
生クリーム(42%) 200ml
グラニュー糖 30g
練乳 50g
粉ゼラチン 8g
水 40ml
ココアパウダー 適量
◆動画で使用したトヨ型のサイズは現在は作られていないようです。
【作り方】
準備
・ゼラチンに40mlの水を入れて十分にふやかして、電子レンジ600wで20-30秒間温めて完全に溶かしておきます。
①スイートチョコレートを細かく刻みます。
②ココアパウダーに大さじ2の熱湯を加えてよく混ぜておきます。
③鍋に牛乳を入れて中火にかけて生クリーム、グラニュー糖、練乳、②のよく混ぜたココアを加えてよく混ぜます。
(沸騰手前まで温めます。)
④細かく刻んだ①のチョコレートを加えてよく混ぜて溶かします。
⑤火を止めてゼラチン液を加えて、こし器でこしてボールに受けます。
⑥ボールのチョコレート液を氷水にあてて、混ぜながらとろみが出るまで冷やします。
⑦ロールペーパーを敷いたトヨ型に流しいれて、冷蔵庫で一晩冷やします。
⑧トヨ型から出して、ココアパウダーを全体に振りかけたら出来上がりです。
⑨切る時はナイフをお湯で40℃位に温めて切ります。切ったらまた温めて綺麗に拭きとってから切ります。
※コンロの火などで直接温めるとナイフや包丁が傷みますのでご注意ください。

Here it is, a Full Vegan Meal Plan for you to lose weight effectively or even to maintain your weight! You can try it even if you are not a vegan. =)
As Vegans / Vegetarians, it is important to have enough protein in your meals, hence all the ingredients I chose are high in protein.
As always, my meals are very quick and easily put together, with simple everyday ingredients. You can prep all the meals under 30 minutes or less.
Remember, you don't have to follow the recipe, be creative and make your own. Here are some alternative/examples of high quality and natural food to choose:
Complex Carbs: Brown Rice, Whole Grain Pasta, Oatmeal, Sweet Potatoes, Wholemeal Bread, Wraps, Pita Bread, quinoa, cous cous.
High Protein Food: Tofu, chickpeas, kidney beans, baked beans, any other beans, almonds, any other nuts, peanut butter, soy milk, almond milk, avocado, tempeh, seitan, lentils, soy yoghurt, edamame, oats.
Healthy Fat: Nuts, Olive Oil, Seeds, Beans, Avocado, peanut butter.
In order for this plan to be Effective, you are recommended to:
1) Prepare Your Food in Bulk lasting 2 -- 3 days to make it stress free.
2) These meals are interchangeable. So you can have your snack for breakfast, breakfast for lunch etc.
3) Only use and Prepare high quality and natural food. So no processed, junk food and ready meals at all.
4) Adjust the portion size and calories according to the product you use. Mine might be slightly difference from yours. So read the food label carefully.
5) You must drink 3-4L of water every day.
6) You must eat every 3 -- 4 hours throughout the day in small portion.
7) Make it a habit to plan and pack your meals the night before and store them in the fridge for the next day; this will make your mornings easier, which will help to keep you on track.
8) Print your meal plan and stick in on your fridge as a daily reminder to stay on track.
9) Keep a food dairy of what you eat and how you feel, which contributes towards your weight lost progress.
10) Exercise 5--6 times a week between 45 -- 60 mins for maximum result.
