I dislike it when people say "that is so out of character for you" my immediate thought is "what in the world is my character???" Or " you're different , you've changed! " and the one I get most often is " you're so different from what we thought"
But honestly why should I be defined? Why should I fit into anyone's perception of me? I not trying to be different. I'm just being me! And everyday that me is allowed to change ! I am allowed to behave however I want everyday as long as I'm not hurting anyone! Swami Vivekanand said we can choose to be whomever we want everyday and that is something I live by! People expect you to behave the way they are comfortable with because we judge and put people in boxes! We all struggle everyday with expectations and judgements ! I have lived my whole life surrounded by expectation as I'm sure we all have. A famous mother and the expectations of people for u to be just like her or a successful father and the surrounding noise of people's thoughts expecting you to reach similar heights and if u don't do it exactly like they did you are considered a failure!
