Gadis ini bernama Brenda Mariella Estrada atau dipanggil Brenda. Sahabat akan senantiasa nampak gambarnya di sisi saya kebanyakan masa di Peru. Siapakah beliau?
Brenda merupakan salah seorang kakitangan di Asociacion Islamica del Peru. Beliau baru sahaja memeluk Islam kurang dari setahun namun sangat komited dalam berdakwah. Siang dan malam kami berkomunikasi sebelum ke Peru dan sepanjang kami di Peru, beliau juga amat komited.
Brenda menitiskan air-mata beliau semasa beliau menceritakan kisah bagaimana beliau memeluk Islam serta tentangan dari ahli keluarganya. Beliau sanggup menerima gaji yang jauh lebih rendah di dengan bekerja untuk Persatuan Islam Peru walaupun mempunyai kelayakan Degree dan kelayakan sebagai penterjemah Bahasa Sepanyol dan Inggeris.
Bagi beliau, itu suatu pelaburan yang bernilai kerana dapat berkhidmat untuk Islam walaupun gaji lebih rendah sedangkan sahabatnya yang lain menerima gaji 2-3 kali ganda lebih banyak dari beliau. Semoga Allah kurniakan kekuatan buat Brenda serta sahabat lain di Peru untuk terus beramal dengan Islam dan berdakwah. Allahuma Ameen ...

Brenda is one of the staff at Asociacion Islamica del Peru. She has embraced Islam for about a yet she is very committed to do da’wah. We communicated day and night before my team and I departed to Peru and the whole time we were there, she was very committed.
Brenda shed tears when she was telling us her reversion story and the objections she had to bear with from her own family. She willingly accepts a lower wage by working at Asociation Islamica del Peru even though she is a degree holder and is qualified to be a translator for Spanish and English language.
For her, this is a golden investment as she gets to work for Islam even when she is being paid lower than her friends by double and triple the amount. May Allah grant strength to Brenda and others in Peru to continue practising Islam and doing da’wah. Allahumma ameen.
