หนังสือพิมพ์อารุนา อ้างเจ้าหน้าที่เรือนจำฯ ว่าเมื่อวันที่ 1 ส.ค. เจ้าหน้าที่รักษาความปลอดภัยของเรือนจำฯ ตรวจพบว่าแมวตัวนี้มีถุงพลาสติกขนาดเล็กผูกอยู่รอบลำคอ ซึ่งภายในบรรจุเฮโรอีนเกือบ 2 กรัม ซิมการ์ด 2 ใบ และชิปหน่วยความจำ โดยผลการสืบสวนพบว่าแมวตัวนี้ลักลอบนำยาเสพติดและสิ่งของต้องห้ามเข้าสู่เรือนจำเวลิกาดา

แมวตัวดังกล่าวจึงถูกคุมขังอยู่ในเรือนจำฯ เพื่อสืบสวนสอบสวนหาเจ้าของต่อไป แต่มันกลับหลบหนีออกมาได้ในวันที่ 2 ส.ค. ทางการท้องถิ่นจึงเริ่มภารกิจไล่ล่าเพื่อตามจับกลับมา โดยเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายสืบสวนเชื่อว่าแมวตัวนี้ถูกใช้เป็นผู้ลักลอบขนส่งสิ่งของผิดกฎหมายเป็นประจำ
