Skull & Bones คือหนึ่งในเกมที่แฟน ๆ Ubisoft หลายคนออกมาถามหากันมากที่สุด เพราะนับตั้งแต่ความคืบหน้าในงาน E3 2018 ตัวเกมก็ไม่มีการอัปเดตใด ๆ ออกมาอีกเลย แม้กระทั่งในงาน Ubisoft Forward ที่ผ่านมา

จนกระทั่งล่าสุดทาง Ubisoft ได้ออกมาประกาศเองว่าตอนนี้ตัวเกมถูก Reboot หรือก็คือรื้อทิ้งสร้างใหม่เรียบร้อย
.
แรกเริ่มเดิมที Skull & Bones นั้นจะเป็นเกมแนวมัลติเพลเยอร์สร้างเรือโจรสลัดและออกตะลุยคาบสมุทร ซึ่งตัวเกมได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจาก Assassin's Creed: Black Flag ซึ่งเป็นภาคที่ผู้เล่นหลายคนให้การยอมรับว่ามีสงครามทางน้ำสนุกที่สุด

แต่คนที่รอเล่นตอนนี้อาจจะต้องรอนานยิ่งกว่าเก่า เพราะการรื้อสร้างใหม่หมด ตอนแรกตัวเกมเปิดตัวในปี 2017 และมีแผนจะวางจำหน่ายในช่วงปลายปี 2018 แต่ก็เลื่อนยาวติดกัน 3 ปี และมีการประกาศสร้างใหม่ออกมา

ในการสร้างใหม่ครั้งนี้จะได้ตัวผู้กำกับและเขียนบทเกม XIII มาดูแลเกมนี้ และรอบนี้จะดีขึ้นหรือแย่ลงก็คงไม่มีใครคาดเดาได้

ไม่แปลกใจที่ Ubisoft ไม่ต้องการเห็นเกมระดับนี้มีความเสี่ยงที่จะล้มเหลว เพราะในขณะนี้เกมแนวโจรสลัดที่ผู้เล่นหลายคนชื่นชอบที่สุด และมีระบบที่ยอดเยี่ยมก็คือ Sea of Thieves ถ้าทำออกมาแล้วสู้เกมนี้ไม่ได้ก็อาจจะต้องเสี่ยงที่จะพังได้

แฟน ๆ Skull & Bones ก็คงต้องรอกันต่อไปอย่างมีความหวังไม่ต่างอะไรกับที่แฟน ๆ Splinter Cell รอคอยภาคใหม่..
