I want to share the joy of life to all of you.
We won’t have Fufutalk this week. However, we want to share with you a piece of good news about our Fufutalk English subtitles translator, Sheila.
You may have noticed we have English subtitles for all our videos on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. They are from three different person. There’s a Singaporean; a doctor studying his PhD in medicine in Harvard; and Sheila who takes on the translation for Fufutalk.
Sheila is a Psychiatrist in New Zealand, and she is also one of our little onions. The reason we call her one of our little onions is because she came to know about us after the first year we started Fufuknows.
She has done most of the translation for our LGBT pride videos and Fufutalk videos. She keeps saying it’s her job to walk alongside struggling people, and our videos did the same thing in a different way. Our Fufudrama had supported her through some of her darkest days, so she grew to appreciate and then actively support what we do.
She supported us to buy cameras, encouraged us to register for Vidcon in the States. She wanted to widen our horizons, so that we can see the world with different perspectives.
We became good friends. She had spent several days with us in Taiwan. She kept encouraging us throughout the last few years, trusting we should be seen by more.
Moreover, she started off being an atheist, somewhat skeptical about religion as a whole. Then she watched our videos on Buddhism and on Fuo Guang Shan. These changed her mind on Buddhism, so much so that she gave Buddhist activities a try. The integration of science and religion was what she found the most helpful.
I can never forget what she said to us. She said, “someone once opened a door for me. I am passing that on by opening a door for the two of you. When you become stronger, pass it on by opening a door for someone else. Bring them forward.” This will always be on our minds.
We are writing about her today because, after our Fufutalk next week, we will cease to have English translation for Fufutalk.
That’s because Sheila is pregnant! She is going to give birth soon. Her baby is finally coming! She has chosen this child, and this child has chosen her. We believe they will form a great family.
We want to say thanks to her by this article. We wish her all the best for her delivery. This is the ultrasound photo of her baby, how cute!
We have decided! Leo and myself will be godfathers no. 1 and 2!

science and religion 在 Hamka (Kereta Mayat) Facebook 八卦
Semusim di Syurga part 86
-----------------------------------
Salah!
“Mata juling!”
Salah!
“Penataan cahaya yang salah”
Salah jugak!
“if i’m not mistaken, bulu mata sebelah kiri perempuan macam ada yang tak kena”
Salah!
“Pondan, pasti betul! Ha ha”
Salah!
"Bapok!"
Salah! Salah! salah!
Sebenarnya, akupun salah waktu meneka “What’s wrong with this photo?”
Tajuk debat mereka adalah: “Science and religion”
“panas…”
Panas sebab aku lupa maximakan air cond waktu tidur tadi, so up air cond dan sambung menontong debat aetheist dan paderi.
Waktu tu dah hujung rancangan, sekali paderi tu cakap:
Paderi: But I often say this with the greatest respect for Professor Dawkins, I really do hope that when you comes to the end of your life and you meets and I believe this and you meets God, I hope you will be pleasantly surprised. I really do.
(tapi kan, saya sering fikirkan ini, dengan segala hormat Profesor Dawkins, saya benar-benar berharap bahawa apabila anda tiba saat akhir hidup anda, saya sangat percaya, anda akan bertemu Tuhan, Saya berharap anda akan sangat terkejut. Pasti.)
Atheist: I would ask God back, why did you create a world that was so convincing of your absence?
(saya akan tanya tuhan balik, kenapa cipta dunia terlalu sempurna sehingga seolah olah Tuhan tidak wujud?)
Paderi : That is faith!
(itulah iman!)
Atheist: Wow!
Deep sungguh!
Lalu jawab paderi:
“Buktikan juga melalui sains, akan bagaimana alam ini bermula, what something that begins us?”
Jawab si atheist: By the way, I don't presume that everything has to have a cause. That's just how the world has manifested thus far.
Paderi: But isn't that a scientific sort of cause and effect? Isn't that one of the bases of science, cause and effect?
Atheist : It's gotten us very far, but I don't.
Paderi : I mean, when you do an experiment, don't you look at cause and effect?
Atheist: Yes. But what I'm saying is, I don't then say the whole universe has to follow this rule. I'm open enough to other possibilities that maybe the universe always was.
Paderi: But see, I, in that case am probably being more logical and scientific. I would say that the human mind, as we understand it, presumes causes and effects, and at some point you have to have this kind of uncaused cause because it doesn't make sense to have this infinite regress. And by that, I say that's God.
Atheist: A quote that I utter that now I've seen on T-shirts, but I'm happy to repeat it here, is that the universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
Paderi: Neither is God.
Atheist: Woha! I think we've got to wrap it up there.
End.
Sekian.
Ps: Jangan pulak korang tuduh aku murtad sebab sokong paderi dalam rancangan Star Talk tu, anggap macam kes Abu Bakar r.a yang mana sewaktu Rom berperang dengan Parsi (agama Majusi) maka Abu Bakar menyokong Rom sebab mereka adalah ahli kitab. Wallahu’lam.

Dr. Dr. Ozumi, Nobel Prize scientist " doesn't say that diet is good for human body
Let's go to interpret. Let's write and share " Japanese people mr. Yoshinori Ohsumi won the Nobel Prize this year 2016 because
He discovered that fasting such as starvation will cause sale, recycling process, taking excess and destroying the inactive things in sale, so it's good for health. It can reduce aging fast
Plus, there is a connection to religion. " the Buddha refrain from dinner, Buddha has given to monks and the eight precepts for over 2600 years. Someone has just confirmed scientifically that it is beneficial for human health and human health and Officially accepted this year's academic tribute "
Well, keep imagining is the work of Prof. Dr. Dr. Yoshinozumi from Tokyo Institute of technology, which won Nobel in physics or medical science, has nothing to do with " dinner " but " Self-consuming process (Autophagy) " of the cell.
Scientists have observed the process of consuming themselves since the 1960 s, found that cells can destroy their own components by covering their desired parts in the pulp and then delivered to liso. M (Lysome)
Now in the 1990 s Dr. Ozumi created a trial kit using yeast to explain the mechanism of self-consuming process in yeast cells and shows that this complex mechanism also occurs in human cells... the important thing is if this self-consuming process is right. Obstruction can cause Parkinson's disease, diabetes, or other diseases, Nobel Prize.
Stop imagining your beliefs to science wrong like this.

10 THINGS YOU DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THE JAPANESE EMPEROR 天皇
Just prior to Christmas, on the 23rd of December, it is the current Japanese Emperor, Akihito’s birthday. It is a national holiday in Japan
1) WORLD'S OLDEST MONARCHY
The Japanese monarchy, The Imperial House of Japan, is the oldest, continuous hereditary monarchy in the world.
Compared to other monarchies, you have the British Monarchy starting at 1066 and the the Danish Monarchy at 935. For the Japanese Monarchy, we’re going back to 660BC, which started with the legendary Japanese Emperor Jimmu.
2) DESCENDENT OF GODS
Shinto is the largest religion in Japan, and the line of Japanese Emperors are said to be the direct descendants of several Shinto gods, the most notable being the Sun goddess, Amaterasu.
The Emperor is the ceremonial head of state in Japan, but it makes sense that with his divine ancestry, he is also officially the head of the Shinto religion itself.
3) TERRITORY-INDEPENDENT PHENOMENON
As odd as it may seem, the title of Emperor (or Tennō) has never really been about territorial designations. Contrast this with European monarchs who often wanted to conquer and control additional territory.
In fact, the position of Emperor is a territory-independent phenomenon. In other words, the Emperor is the Emperor regardless if he has followers in the whole of Japan or in only one province.
4) EMPEROR'S CAPACITY
From 1192 to 1867, the shoguns held the real power (Shoguns being the military commanders of the time). The Emperor still officially nominated the Shoguns to their positions, but this was largely ceremonial.
Today, the Japanese Constitution vests executive power in the Prime Minister and his Cabinet.
5) POLYGAMY
The Japanese imperial dynasty consistently practiced official polygamy.
Besides his empress, the Emperor could take several secondary consorts or concubines; which helped produce more offspring for the imperial clan
6) FIRST COMMONER WIFE
In the history of the Japanese Imperial Family, there was never an Emperor who had a commoner as wife or even concubine. That is, until now.
The current Emperor of Japan married Empress Michiko, a commoner! She was not from the former court nobility nor from one of the former branches of the Imperial Family. Michiko was the daughter of an industrialist
7) FISH SCIENCE
(Ichthyology = Fish Science)
The Emperor is a published ichthyological researcher, having written papers for several scholarly journals, and has specialised studies within the taxonomy of the family Gobiidae. Random
8) STOP GAP EMPRESSES
Generally, it has been males who have ascended Japan’s Chrysanthemum Throne. However, if a suitable male was not available, there have been times where women have ascended the throne; almost as a stop gap measure.
Of the 125 monarchs, there have been 8 women who have reigned on 10 different occasions. 2 of them reigned twice.
Once a suitable male descendant was considered old enough to rule, many Empresses, and even Emperors, abdicated or relinquished the throne
9) CHILD EMPERORS
Over a thousand years ago, a tradition started that an Emperor should ascend young. If he had passed his toddler years, he was said to be old enough. Being a child was apparently a fine property
10) ABDICATING TREND
Abdication was very common. Actually it was more frequent than death on the throne. The Emperors tasks involved so many repetitive rituals that after about ten years of service, it was deemed a reasonable compensation to live the rest of their lives in pampered retirement!

As investigative journalist Miles Upshur, explore Mount Massive Asylum and try to survive long enough to discover its terrible secret... if you dare.
Synopsis:
In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the "research and charity" branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, the asylum has been operating in strict secrecy... until now.
Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely. Once inside, his only hope of escape lies with the terrible truth at the heart of Mount Massive.
Outlast is a true survival horror experience which aims to show that the most terrifying monsters of all come from the human mind.

science and religion 在 National Palace Museum國立故宮博物院 Youtube 的評價
Tibetan Dragon Sutra illusionistic immersive interactive installation is an interactive apparatus inspired by the ancient manuscript. Through the combination of science, art, and cultural relics, viewers can immerse themselves in the wondrous beauty of the Tibetan Dragon Sutra and submerge themselves within the intense spiritual energy emitted. The interactive device features material from the Tibetan Dragon Sutra: Imperial manuscript copy in gold ink housed within the collections of the National Palace Museum.
It is a collection of Tibetan Buddhist manuscripts completed during the reign of Emperor Kangxi. Due to their exquisite craftsmanship, grandeur, and solemnity, the manuscripts are a rare masterpiece in the fields of art and religion. The device is designed to initiate an interactive mechanism through sensing the number of people present. The experience encompasses a three-stage process that is gradually unveiled. Beginning with the amassing and swirling of flecks of golden light, people will then see flying scriptures and the eight auspicious symbols floating around them, followed by images of holy Buddhist figures.
The theater is also equipped with seating similar to the zafu used by Buddhist monks to enhance the meditative and calming effect. After viewers take their seats, the ground surrounding them will begin radiating scriptures and the eight auspicious symbols of Buddhist rituals. Further into the display, the scope of the animations on the floor will gradually expand. Through augmented reality, viewers will feel as if they have received the blessings of the Tibetan Dragon Sutra as they read and comprehend the translation of the six-syllabled Sanskrit mantra while being surrounded by animations of Buddhist statues transforming from black and white into images of vibrant color.
Regardless of nationality or age, visitors can all experience the feast of the senses brought to them by the Tibetan Dragon Sutra.
