▍台灣🇹🇼與美國🇺🇸拜登政府完成簽署第一項MOU
#設立海巡工作小組瞭解備忘錄
#外交部 吳部長今日主持台美備忘錄的簽署宣布茶會， 海洋委員會李仲威主委、海巡署-藍色國土的守護者周美伍署長，以及 美國在台協會 AIT 酈英傑處長 (Brent Christensen)等出席。
這是拜登政府上任後，台美簽署的 #第一份正式文件 🎉🎉🎉
透過簽署MOU，我國海巡署及美國海岸巡防隊 U.S. Coast Guard 將合力強化雙方 #保護海洋資源🐟、打擊「非法、未報告及不受規範」#IUU 漁業活動、並就 #聯合海上搜救(SAR)⚓️等領域進行合作，以共同確保 #印太地區 的繁榮與穩定。
宣布茶會上，台灣致贈美方新塗裝 #TAIWAN 字樣的4000噸 #嘉義艦 模型🚢
MOU由我駐美代表 #戰貓 蕭美琴 Bi-khim Hsiao大使及美國在台協會 (AIT/W)執行理事藍鶯 (Ingrid Larson)於美東時間3月25日在華府完成簽署✍️，並由國務院代理亞太助卿金聖 (Sung Kim)、美國海岸巡防隊國際事務暨外交政策處處長Ann Castiglione-Cataldo等官員出席見證。
拜登政府上任以來，多次重申對台灣的承諾「堅若磐石」 (rock-solid) 💎，台美未來也會在既有長期友好的深厚基礎上，進一步強化緊密的全球夥伴關係🤝。

MOFA Minister Joseph Wu met with AIT Director William Brent Christensen today to celebrate the signing of an MOU to establish the #CoastGuard working group by Ambassador Bi-khim Hsiao and AIT Managing Director Ingrid Larson.
The MOU is the first formal document to be signed between the two countries since US President Joe Biden took office and shows the common aim of systematizing coordination and exchange between them on issues like #MaritimeSafety, #HumanitarianRescue, #fisheries enforcement and #MarineEnvironment, further strengthening the comprehensive partnership.
The signing of the MOU was witnessed by Acting Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Sung Kim and Director of International Affairs and Foreign Policy Advisor for the US Coast Guard Ann Castiglione-Cataldo and shows Taiwan is committed to working with our international partners to uphold #PeaceAndProsperity in the #IndoPacific region!

Today is the #InternationalDayForBiologicalDiversity, an annual day designated by the United Nations to raise awareness for the different threats and challenges to #biodiversity in the contemporary world. This year’s theme is “Our solutions are in nature,” encouraging us to think about building sustainable ways to live in harmony with nature, so that endemic species, like the #LeopardCat and the #FormosanBlackBear, can thrive once more!

OCEAN'US is a collaboration initiative of Hatta Dolmat with Ocean Hero Conservation that are in-line with the UN SDG12 Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG14 Life Below Water and Eleventh Malaysia Plan: Pollution control action plans towards the eradication of littering and usage of plastic bottles that will endanger marine life by transforming plastic bottles into fabric. This campaign is an effort to educate the importance of conserving marine life themed with ‘Plastic Bottles - Free Ocean’ and ocean sustainability in order to promote the green technology in converting plastic bottles to fabric.
