‘NOTHING has changed since 3 years ago.’

We have not forgotten the fire at the Sultanah Aminah Hospital's ICU wards in Johor Bahru that shocked Malaysians 3 years ago. This incident took the lives of six patients and should have made us more prepared and concerned towards the welfare of the people.
I have been following closely the development of this issue and even visited the ward last year on 1st November 2018. I made another visit today - one year later, but I'm very disappointed. I am shocked to see that the wards still have remnants of the fire and it is as if there has been no effort to repair or rehabilitate them although it's been three years. NOTHING has changed since 3 years ago.
Is the welfare of Johoreans not important that important basic necessities such as this has literally been left abandoned? Why are the Federal Government's incentives for Johoreans and state government been reduced to the extent that these wards have not been repaired even after three years? Matters regarding the people's interest must always be the priority of those in power and I hope this is not neglected.
The economy is currently suffering and during such times, the welfare of the people, especially access to basic amenities such as healthcare must be given importance. Johor contributed 9.6% or rather RM138.9 billion of the national economy in 2018. Johoreans deserve to get good facilities for the betterment of their lives.

#LDF grantee, International Fund for Animal Welfare - IFAW, helped rehabilitate and release an Amur tiger named Zolushka into the wild a couple of years ago. Recently, Zolushka has given birth to baby cubs – the first time a rehabilitated Amur tiger has given birth in the wild. In a world where Amur tigers are facing extinction (with only about 500 remaining in the wild) this historical event is a step in the right direction. Check out the video here:

A confession about my Japanese and my biggest study MISTAKE in 2017! Thank you to Koala for helping me get back on track! http://bit.ly/2lOp7I0
More than just a bed, this sleep-miracle was sent to me by Koala, a company in Australia that knows the value of a good night's sleep!
In Japan, I especially appreciate their mold-proof build and convenient, CUTE packing, that made it all the more easy to bring this koala home. Here's more reasons why they rock:
• It’s 100% Australian made
• It’s 100% recyclable
• Has the Good Environmental Choice Certification
• Outperforms all conventional competition, and exceeds Australasian & Global environmental regulations
• 100% vegan & cruelty free!
• A portion of each purchase is donated to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital, caring for the koala sanctuary, and donating to organisations that protect, and rehabilitate koala habitats

Former NBA star Allen Iverson plans to have a lesion removed from his right leg in the United States and intends to rejoin his Turkish team in time for the playoffs.
Gary Moore, Iverson's longtime manager, said Iverson told him Wednesday that he doesn't plan to retire because of the painful condition.
Moore said Iverson has a lesion that is pressing up against the bones of his leg and requires surgery in the U.S.
"It has to be removed and tested to see if it's benign or not,'' Moore said by phone. "Once that's removed, Allen is going to look to rehabilitate his leg because the doctors tell him he'll be out four to six weeks, He's hoping to be able to play in the playoffs.''
Besiktas spokesman Kursat Kaplan said Wednesday the team would assess Iverson's future after another MRI this week.
Moore had no timetable for Iverson's surgery, only that that it was "soon.''
"People need to know that Allen is and always has been a fighter,'' Moore said. "He's got a battle ahead of him.''
Moore said Iverson "totally disputes'' reports out of Turkey that he was set to retire.
The 11-time NBA All-Star has said he's happy with his new career in Turkey, though his start has been mixed since playing his first game in November.
Iverson, the NBA's Most Valuable Player in 2001, agreed to a $4 million, two-year deal with Besiktas after no NBA team offered him a contract. Moore said Iverson last played Saturday.
"This is the most pain he's ever felt from any injury he's had,'' Moore said. "He's been in tremendous agony.''
Iverson spent 10 seasons in Philadelphia before bouncing through Denver and Detroit, ending up in Memphis last season.
He played only three games before returning for a second stint with the Sixers, where he averaged 13.9 points in 25 games. He took a leave of absence toward the end of the season to deal with some family matters, which he said have been resolved.
When no NBA team was interested in him, Iverson was wooed by Besiktas executive board member Seref Yalcin to continue his career overseas.
"He's enjoying the beauty of the country, the beauty of the people,'' Moore said. "No one has any expectations of him other than what he gives on the basketball court. No one cares about what he did five, six years ago.''

Two games into his return from knee surgery,
Chris Webber is playing like he's in midseason form.
Webber had 24 points and 10 assists and Peja Stojakovic had a
team-high 27 points, leading the Kings to a 114-105 victory over
the Philadelphia 76ers.
Webber was playing his second game of the season for Sacramento,
which has won three straight and nine of its last 10 on the road.
He had 26 points and 12 rebounds Tuesday in his debut after missing
nine months to rehabilitate his knee and serve an eight-game
suspension.
"I try to make my expectations high," Webber said. "I've been
working hard. I've been waiting to get back to this point. It's
hard for me to take it like everybody wants me to take it and ease
back into it."
Allen Iverson rebounded from Wednesday's 2-for-21 shooting
performance to score a team-high 32 for the Sixers, who have lost
six of seven. Kenny Thomas recorded his sixth straight
double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds.
With Webber on the bench for the last half of the third quarter,
the Sixers ran off a 13-0 run that cut the lead to one.
Philadelphia had a short-lived 79-77 advantage with 1:09 left in
the quarter, but Sacramento regained the lead on a jumper by
Stojakovic and a layup from Mike Bibby. After a free throw from
Iverson, Brad Miller hit a 3 at the buzzer to stretch the lead to
four.
Webber had seven points and three assists during a 14-3 run that
opened the fourth quarter and put the Kings ahead by 15 with 8:24
to play. The Sixers pulled within six in the final minute, but
Bibby made five free throws to seal the game.
Bibby had 21 points and Miller added 19 for Sacramento. Webber
and Stojakovic combined to go 16-for-17 from the line.
"Time will tell if (the Kings) are the best (team)," Sixers
interim coach Chris Ford said. "Certainly the way they play the
game, it's fun to watch them. I know that even if I'm over there
taking a drubbing, you have to be impressed."
Webber said after the game that, although his knee is not 100
percent, there was very little pain or stiffness. He noted his
lateral movement on the defensive end is not yet where it should
be.
But on the opposite end of the floor, it was typical Webber. The
offense ran through him and, when he was not in the game, the Kings
struggled. With Webber on the bench, the Sixers outscored
Sacramento 49-40.
"I'm just amazed at him," Sacramento coach Rick Adelman said.
"The two games he's played, he's played at a very high level. He's
shot the ball well. Tonight, he had 10 assists. And I thought he
had a couple of huge plays around the basket when he got the
offensive boards."
