Two miniature scientists develop bacteria that can decompose plastic to turn garbage into carbon dioxide, water and alcohol!
•
Humans are addicted to plastic that lasts a few minutes, but spend hundreds of thousands of years of biodegradable time. It's time for nature and technology to boost digest. | Recently, there are news of discovering and inventing things that come to biodegradable and eating plastic like mushrooms and worms. A development of bacteria that will help eliminate plastic waste.
•
Scientists, over 20 years old, Jeanny Yao and Miranda Wang develops bacteria that eliminates plastic by turning them into water, carbon dioxide and alcohol.
•
You've been developing this bacteria since you've been studying. You've been looking at jobs and seen a huge landfill problem in Vancouver landfill station in 2011, so you want to fix it.
•
So far, they're already patented with over $ 400,000 funding to develop their products. They've won many awards and are the youngest scientists, Perlman science, science prize, and many more awards.
•
Their plastic removal technology will go through the organic biodegradable process in the same way as the removal process that uses enzymes to digest.
•
Where this technology will be used in 2 ways.
1. garbage disposal on land and beach
2. to create spare ingredients in clothing production.
•
′′ It's almost impossible for us to stop using plastic. So we have to use technology to decompose it. Everything in nature should be biodegradable Miranda Wang
•
′′ In a society that depends on plastic, reducing production is a good goal, but it's not enough. And the garbage that has happened. Plastic takes thousands of years to decay, so instead of waiting for that garbage to be there. And more piles. We have figured out how to make it dissolve with bacteria!" says Jeanny Yao
•
It's another innovation and finding solution to eliminate plastic at the destination. But don't forget that we also have to reduce and stop creating plastic waste from the source.
•
Now she's both turned to a business named Biocollection that stirs up chemical recycling that transforms plastic waste into chemical substances that can be made into a product into a more effective recycling. Find out more at https://www.biocellection.com/

Continue Reading"What is the dust of PM2. 5 and how scared we have to be"
I was going to post this "PM2. 5 dust" so many times, but I don't have time. There are plenty of information. I just feel like I don't have a lot of people to conclude what it is and how careful. Let's try to write in summary.
1. Dust. PM 2.5 (particle matter smaller than 2.5 micron) is a very small dust. It is smaller than 2.5 Micron (Micron) or smaller than 3 % smaller than 3 % Hair diameter.. in the major city is the main cause of engine and from construction (not from burning grass burning straw)
2. Really. Dust. Both size. PM 2.5 and larger ones.
It's all up to air pollution and it's an important problem of the big city. As the clip is seen dust floating everywhere at "Lumpini Park" that should be larger than 50 Micron dust that I can see... but The smaller the dust, instead of falling to the ground, the faster it's usually hanging in the air and makes it harder to be a healthier problem.
3. Dust PM 2.5 is clearly dangerous for health because it is very small. It can pass the respiratory to the lungs and create problems with blood vessels. (those with large ones are often trapped from nose hair and too. Slime and hair on the respiratory channel) and will increase the risk of heart disease and respiratory disease because it can go through the capillaries that nurture all parts of the body, including brain and heart disease, heart disease, etc. Even. The fetus that mother experiences PM2. 5 particles will make children when they grow up, there is a chance to risk of such diseases and it also have the intellectual level of children for life.
4. In Bangkok, the dust level. PM 2.5 during January-February, there are higher than the benchmark (50 micrograms / cubic meters) in many areas, especially along the big roadside with traffic and constructions such as Rama 4 Road, Ladprao Road, Phayathai Road, Inthak Road (see the latest information today at https://www.facebook.com/PCD.go.th/photos/a.536405553109503.1073741834.174094709340591/1609515919131789/?type=3&theater)
5. However, PM2. 5 dust level is not higher than this benchmark is not high as critical as there is news. It is caused by some websites to calculated and compare to foreign standards which is not the right way.
6. Dust situation. PM 2.5 has been many years, but this year has become a lot of campaign because it has come quite faster than the past year (since January) and quite a few months... PM 2.5 dust will be more during the season from winter to summer, such as mid-February, which often fog (steam) occurs), causing the air to turn off. The sun won't reach the ground. The energy to push the energy to float higher to accumulate in The air is on the ground.
7. Therefore, PM2. 5 Dust Surveillance by ourselves. In addition to avoid being near the big roadside area or much construction area, it can still monitor daily numbers from the department of pollution control (https://www.facebook.com/PCD.go.th/) including the Notice that day when the weather is calm. There is a high air humidity (steam) thick or not because there will be a lot of dust accumulation. PM 2.5... or if there is thunderstorms happen that day, the amount of dust in the air. Will be diluted
8. How much dust do we have to be afraid of PM 2.5? If you are a person in the risk of health problems such as respiratory disease or cardiovascular disease, you should avoid getting into high-standard, such as roadside... If you can stay indoors. There is more safe or if you need to go out, you should wear N95 hygienic mask... As for the general health people still don't have to be that scared unless they have to live or work in random areas regularly to wear protective masks. Too much too.
9. Hygienic mask that can prevent N95 dust. It must be a resolution of fibers high enough to filter small dust. Size 2.5 Micron. Like N95 mask that is sold. It will filter the particles. Size 0.3 Micron. Up to 95 % (the source of N95) is suitable to use... As for those who are sold in addition to filter, it is not detailed enough. It is not attached to the face. The air can still pass in and out. Easy to be easy.
10. At the end of this month, the dust situation. PM 2.5 will be better. However, small and large dust is still harmful to health, so we should help reduce the cause of dust, such as reducing the use of construction areas and The car that transporting construction materials to the Midwest, including Bangkok. I should take more vacuum and spray water on the road.

Please give me 5 minutes of your time.
I've been wanting to talk about this for the longest time but idk.. I’ve always been nervous at voicing out my opinion but here it goes! 🤣
Only in hope that more people would be aware of this issue. (Definitely not enforcing anyone)
I have been practising conscious purchasing & usage for the past 2-3 years now. If you noticed, I wore my clothes repetitively mainly because I started learning more about fashion and it’s environmental impact.
It’s actually really devastating! How much pollution and unethical practices behind the manufacturing process of our clothes, accessories and idk, whatever products.
I think most of us aren’t aware on HOW MUCH WASTAGE can have impact on the environment.
Clothing store that has consistent weekly new trendy items are probably the biggest contributor to wastage. The fast fashion industry are the top 3 most polluted industry! (I’ll share a short video on my story)
This year, I have decided to practice going vegetarian at least 2 days a week to help the environment. (google and read up more on how this helps!).
I’m definitely not an environmentally friendly person. Sadly, I am guilty of driving far distance everyday instead of taking public transport or car pooling, and many more!
But i hope this helps inspire you to make little changes and sacrifices in your life that could help reduce the negative impact on the environment. A little goes a long way!
I hope you guys could join me too by practising being a little more conscious every day. Educate your friends and family so that everyone can make little adjustment to reduce wastage.
Some ideas I thought might help you kickstart:
💚The easiest - start using reusable groceries bags/ bring your own plastic bags.
💚Shop more at slow fashion and ethically made clothing.
💚Buy more sustainable style instead of following trends.
💚Understand and appreciate quality over quantity.
💚Eat more greens and less meat.
💚Buy and use a reusable Starbucks cup. (bring it whenever you can! You get RM2 discounts too)
💚Use the public transport or car pool whenever you can.
💚bring a bottle to refill instead of purchasing plastic bottle water.

CÁCH NGƯNG NÓI I DON'T KNOW KHI THI IELTS SPEAKING
- Hôm nay, bài học cùng Ms.Jenny tránh cách nói I DON'T KNOW trong phần thi IELTS Speaking.
1. Không hiểu câu hỏi
Part 1: Pardon? / Would you mind repeating the question?
Part 2: ko thể hỏi + ko đc đổi đề
Part 3: Could you rephrase the question, please?
Could you explain the question in another way, please?
2. Topic “lạ”:
- That’s a tough question. To be frank with you/ To be honest, I’ve never really thought about it before. I suppose
- Well, I am not a knowledgeable person about this topic so actually I don’t have any suitable answer. However, to the best of my belief,....
Những điều cần biết:
1. Có bị giám khảo trừ điểm không? Không.
3. Lặp lại câu hỏi (Part 3):
Vd: What can people do to try and reduce air pollution?
Không nên: What can people do to try and reduce air pollution? I think….
Nên: What can individuals do to ensure the atmosphere is kept clean? That’s an interesting question, let me think for a second. If I had to give an answer I would say…
Chốt: Nên paraphrase câu hỏi
Các bạn cùng cô Jenny giải đề nhé! Tránh khi thi IELTS Speaking sẽ gặp I don't know nha.
