Pre term babies are born below 37 weeks .
Term babies are considered at 37 weeks and above
Pregnancy duration is upto 40 weeks .

We can never tell when the babies are due to come out .
Some come out early and some late .
Bella was late 40 weeks + 2 days- totally overdue
Tasha was preterm at 36 weeks
The twin Boys also pre term at 35 weeks
And the new twins too at 35 weeks.
I myself was a pre term and tiny Baby .

But I notice though pre term babies are born small
they always end up growing big & strong later in life .
They always want to prove a point .
They strive more ...

Dr Halina developed a critical condition called pre eclampsia which could be fatal to mother and the twins if untreated .
It usually occurs to pregnancy mothers at 34 weeks associated with high BP , puffiness and proteins in urine .

The cause ?
Many factors as age at 40 , twin pregnancy itself among others .The problem arises from the placenta itself involving the kidneys and liver and its important to bring out the twins as soon as possible .
Steroids are given to help lungs maturity as the babies are only at 34 weeks .
The plan is to do a Caesarian tomorrow but we are hoping to wait a little longer ...
The twins are now at 2.2 kg and 2.4 kg with good heart rates and just couldn't wait to come out ....
So are we but please wait a little bit longer .

PS - The good news is that the 1st twin girl has already rotate with head down but normal delivery is not an option at this stage ...

I know I have high risk of delivering my babies premature but Alhamdulillah, I'm still pregnant 😀 Both babies are growing well and I'm having all sorts of pain but very grateful. Just to get a little peace of mind I decided to get a baby doppler to keep an ear out for my baby's heart beat. I was delivered to day and we are excited to test it out. It was a little hard to find at first but after a while I think we heard some heart beats from our baby. Not sure but it helps us feel hopeful and positive that our baby is doing ok in my belly. We will try to use it more often in the future if we have any uncertainties and need to be assured. Glad to be able to have this device to help us first time parents chill out!

We never filmed this 2 years ago before Damon's birth.
And of course this was filmed before Jamie was born.
This time round we've been quite prepared so we were rushed preparing to go to the hospital
Also we managed to film a bunch of stuff before baby Jamie arrived.
You'll still be watching some of heavily pregnant Sarah on YouTube for the next couple of weeks hahaha.
Why we didn't get around to filming this topic last time? Maybe we were a bit rushed, maybe it was so late in the pregnancy that we wanted to chill back and relax.
All in all this second pregnancy hasn't been too nerve wracking.
All the stuff that we have worried about hasn't been pregnancy-related, it's been COVID-19 related, cleaning, staying at home, trying to protect our family and friends.
It would've been nice to have taken Damon to see the doctor during the pregnancy, and I'm sure he would've loved to have visited mummy after she gave birth.
But let's not be silly, there's no rush for Damon to see Jamie, they're going to have plenty of time to spend together, it's going to be so much fun for them and for us❤️

Of course there will be plenty of baby vlogs later.
