For the occasion of #PradaMode Paris at Maxims de Paris, AI researcher, composer, and academic Kate Crawford and artist, geographer, and author Trevor Paglen have installed “Making Faces,” an interactive exhibition investigating surveillance, big data, and identity detection. The displays ranges from historical displays on phrenology and early facial detection technologies to contemporary video installations, live facial recognition systems, and ImageNet Roulette.
