Despite being a world-famous band since nearly the beginning of their career, L'Arc-en-Ciel only played their first US show in 2004. The show, performed at Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena (now known as "Royal Farms Arena") on July 31st as part of the Otakon anime festival, was documented on the "LIVE IN U.S.A." DVD and Blu-Ray. The fourth of seven L'Arc-en-Ciel live concert videos released in December is one of the band's most historically significant: "LIVE IN U.S.A ~at 1st Mariner Arena July 31, 2004~". Released at the end of 2004, the video's title is pretty self-explanatory, but the historical context isn't; despite being one of the biggest bands in the world for over a decade, this was the first time the band had come to the US. Performed at Baltimore's 1st Mariner Arena (now known as Royal Farms Arena), the concert was performed in front of 11,100 lucky fans as part of the Otakon anime festival.
