當潮州菜遇上蘇格蘭威士忌係點嘅呢？試咗6 款威士忌配8道菜，試咗蘇格蘭唔同區嘅style,由Lowland區開始,跟著Highland區, Speyside 區至男人的浪漫Islay區！今晚whisky pairing覺得最有趣係Glenkinchie 12 年配鹵水豬手，食完豬手嘅骨膠原令支威士忌更香甜更幼滑！另外我當然揀我喜愛嘅泥煤威士忌，甜芋頭同Lagavulin 16年都夾，不過我都係覺得淨飲好味d！潮廳d潮州菜好食，第一次食炸灌章（有d似蘿白糕）好味！🥃🥃😋😋
When Chiu Chow cuisine matches with Scotch whisky, how's it? Tried 6 Scotch pairing with 8 courses, tasting whiskies from different regions, starting from Lowland, then Highland, Speyside as well as Islay (men's favourite)! If u ask me which pairing I like most, I'd vote for Glenkinchie 12yo to pair with marinated pig's claw, the collagen from the pig's claw has elevated the whisky & smoothen it! My favourite whisky goes to Lagavulin 16 year old peated whisky. It matches well with the sweetened taro, but I prefer to enjoy it by itself! 潮廳 Chiu Tang's food is amazing! It's my first time trying Chiu Chow style turnip cake, it's yummy! 🥃🥃😋😋

There are many varieties of peated whiskies, it’s not just from Islay only, other regions in Scotland also produce peated whiskies. I just tried Highland Park’s newly launched Valfather whisky, the last part of the Viking Legend series, which is the most peated version among all. It has dried heather flower & smoky notes, which is another style of peated whisky. 🥃

早前於香港鍾錶展為Wine Luxe 酒派月刊同現場數十位嘉賓分享了Highland Park泥煤威士忌，一次過試了12年、18年及25年。如果艾雷島泥煤威士忌的那份爆炸力及醫院味是代表男人的浪漫，那奧克尼群島泥煤威士忌的溫文爾雅應該是代表女人的優雅。

I recently participated in Hong Kong Watch and Clock Fair that was organised by Wine Luxe magazine to be the speaker of Highland Park tasting and sharing 3 whiskies with the guests, including 12 year old, 18 year old and 25 year old. If the strong and medicinal flavours of Islay peated whiskies represents guys' preference and romance, then the elegant flavours of Orkney peated whiskies should represents ladies' preference and elegance.
