【港10月零售銷售挫24.3% 靠聖誕翻身無望】
香港最近連零售也正在渡過「寒冬期」，政府統計處公佈10月零售業總銷貨值估計為301億元，大跌24.3%，創有紀錄以來最大單月按年跌幅。香港零售管理協會主席謝邱安儀認為，難言跌幅是否見底，但看淡聖誕市道，預料消費不會好轉，呼籲業主與租戶共度時艱。而且由於去年同期基數因黃金周而拉高，令跌幅合乎預期地再度擴大，如果業主拒絕減租，未來或迎來結業潮。
10月零售業總銷貨值按年跌24.3%，遜於市場預期跌22.6%，與去年同期比較，今年頭10個月合計的零售業總銷貨價值臨時估計跌9%。
今年9月零售業總銷貨數量的修訂估計按年跌20.3%、首10個月合計的臨時估計跌10%。
在不同的零售類別中，以珠寶首飾、鐘錶及名貴禮物按年跌幅最大，跌42.9%，其次是鞋類、有關製品及其他衣物配件，下跌37%；服裝下跌36.9%；藥物及化妝品下跌33.5%，而百貨公司貨品下跌31.1%。相反，超市等民生銷售有所增長，其中超級市場貨品的銷貨價值按年上升0.5%；新鮮蔬果升10.6%；新鮮或急凍魚類及禽畜肉類升5.3%。
近日有不少零售商如莎莎（0178）及謝瑞麟（0417）均透過放無薪假的措施節流，謝邱安儀表示，會員主要採取員工自然流失後、不再重新聘請的措施，近半年亦愈來愈多零售商要求員工放無薪假，只有少部分零售商裁員或是減薪。
政府發言人表示，今年零售業銷售在10月持續大幅下滑，並錄得有紀錄以來最大的單月按年跌幅，主要是本地社會事件涉及的暴力增加，嚴重打擊消費情緒，對旅遊業及消費相關活動構成重大干擾，強調停止社會事件的暴力和恢復社會秩序，是為零售業復蘇創造環境的關鍵，政府會密切留意相關情況，以及對勞工市場和整體經濟的影響。

Serves 5 - 6
500g of pork belly
1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil
70g of shallots - chopped
2 cloves of garlic - chopped
8 pieces of dried mushrooms - diced
1 teaspoon of five spice powder
A few dashes of white pepper
1/2 cup of white rice wine
1/3 cup of low sodium light soya sauce
1/3 cup of premium dark soya sauce
15g of rock sugar
700ml of chicken stock
4 hard boiled eggs - optional
三人份量 - For 3 people
洋蔥2個 - 2 onions
煙肉（培根）5-6條 - 5-6 rashers of bacon
火腿肉200g - 200g of cooked ham
豬肉腸3條 - 3 pork sausages
新薯7-8個 - 7-8 new potatoes
雞湯1杯 - 1 cup of chicken stock
清水1杯 - 1 cup of water
蕃荽 - parsley
鹽／黑胡椒粉 - salt and pepper to taste
