See the boy in the pictures? That’s me from 2017 - 18th March, to be exact! I was only 10 years old at the time. I can still remember the feeling when I first stepped foot in King Edward’s School (KES) for their Open Day. It was like I was Harry Potter stepping into Hogwarts! 😉 I felt like there was a connection between me and the school. I could actually picture myself there, being one of the KES boys, finishing KES, furthering my studies in Oxford University and so on. Back then, everything felt like a dream as to get into KES is really hard...almost impossible! But, with God’s help, my hard work and everybody’s support, I managed to pass the entrance exam with flying colours. And not only that, I’ve been blessed with a full scholarship out of 125 students! I can’t thank God enough for the opportunity He has granted me to make my parents proud.
So why King Edward’s School? Well, it’s one of the top schools in the UK! It was actually founded in 1552 by King Edward VI & is now almost 500 years old. JRR Tolkien, the famous author of 'The Lord of The Rings' & 'The Hobbit', and many other well-known people were among the alumni of the school or as they like to call it, "Old Edwardians". Some of them are even Nobel Prize-winners! A lot of the boys even go on to study at Oxford and Cambridge - how inspiring!
