Dear some people who go to all sorts of privileged international schools in Thailand,
If you come across this message, I want you to read it and try to ruminate about what I am going to share with you. Learning English in Thailand is never easy. In fact, it has never been easy. You should put yourself in a conventional Thai school for a week if you want to experience the challenges a regular Thai student has to go through each day.
I am happy for you that you can speak English naturally, beautifully and eloquently. The reason why some of you find it easy is simply because of your privilege. And I don’t blame you for that. However, when it comes to speaking English, it pains me to see the mockery and insults that are still prevalent among the so-called upper-class community towards people less fortunate than them.
Let me remind you that English is just a tool to help connect you to a bigger world. It's a lingua franca, not a form of superiority. Stop using it as a weapon to belittle anyone. It is not cool. It is not civilised. It is vulgar. Please be kinder. Should you find that hard to achieve, don't say anything. If you can't use your privilege to help others, just sit on it and be quiet.
PS My statement doesn't include everyone who goes to an international school. The message is for those who use their privilege to belittle others. If you are not one of those people, this message is not about you.
While English has been our lingua franca, a common language for all to communicate and work with one another, our Mother Tongues connect us to our roots, values and culture.
Was happy to announce today that the Ministry of Education, Singapore will be increasing funding for the Mother Tongue Language Learning and Promotion Committees by 50%, to $25 million over the next five years (2016-2020). This support will help create a conducive environment, beyond schools, for learning Mother Tongue languages.
The Bulan Bahasa (Malay Language Month) programme has done good work promoting and preserving the use of Malay for almost 30 years. Here’s a glimpse of some of the activities at the launch of this year’s programme. :)

Walaupun Bahasa Inggeris digunakan sebagai bahasa pengantaraan di Singapura, Bahasa Melayu dan Bahasa Ibunda lain memainkan peranan penting dalam menghubungkan kita kepada asal-usul, nilai dan budaya berbilang bangsa kita yang cukup kaya.
Sebab itu, saya gembira mengumumkan bahawa MOE akan menambah 50% dana bagi menggalak pembelajaran Bahasa Ibunda kepada $25 juta untuk tempoh lima tahun mendatang (2016-2020). Sokongan tambahan ini pasti dapat mewujudkan sekitaran lebih baik bagi murid-murid kita mempelajari Bahasa Ibunda di luar lingkungan sekolah.
Sejak 30 tahun yang lalu, kempen Bulan Bahasa mekar berkembang tahun demi tahun, melestarikan Bahasa dan Budaya Melayu melalui acara-acara menarik dan berinovatif. Syabas kepada pihak penganjur dan semua yang terlibat!

In this video, we will match the fruits and vegetables by their shape, if we find a match, we will merge it and pronounce the fruit name or vegetable name, your kid will learn the shape of fruit and vegetable and how does it call, this matching game will develop kids problem solving skill and hand-eye coordination.
After playing this fruit toy few times, my kid start to recognize the pronunciations of fruits and vegetables and able to cut and assemble most of them, surprisingly she take more fruits than before, we are very happy to see her can grow healthy and play as the same time.
