Had an X-citing experience at the official launch of HTX, the Home Team Science and Technology Agency, yesterday. While HT stands for Home Team, the ‘X’ stands for their ambition to be a force multiplier using technology, so that the Home Team will be many times greater than the sum of its parts!

HTX has an ambitious mandate: to conduct transformative research in areas such as biometrics, smart sensors, and robotics; to bring together capabilities of the different HT departments so as to function better; and to build partnerships and collaborations with external partners such as research institutions, schools, and start-ups.

I got a look at the various high-tech tools and equipment being used by the agency, as well as the people behind them. Based on what I’ve seen today, I am confident that the agency will do X-ceptionally well! – LHL
