【爭取國際關注！中共疫情期間大規模收集香港人DNA】
[The city's largest-ever DNA collection by China]
武漢肺炎持續爆發，加強抗疫固然是當務之急，但政府設立美其名為個人健康追蹤系統的「健康碼」制度，卻不得不慎防，當中存有嚴重侵害私隱的可能。
如初選出線人鄒家成（https://www.facebook.com/owenchowkashing/posts/305831790824199 ）和天水連線（https://www.facebook.com/tswconnection/posts/314392399921226 ）早前已撰文提醒，大規模的DNA收集，絕對不能單純視為防疫措施以平常心看待。
連任職衞生署衞生防護中心傳染病處主任的張竹君醫生也表明，她自己也是看新聞才知道中央派員支援香港檢測，到底政府意圖暗度陳倉，特別收集港人DNA資料等生物特徵後，會在未來部署作甚麼動作，這個真的要認真看待。

1. Starting from today, #Beijing will send medical personnel from China to #HK for mass testing. Just like #nationalsecuritylaw legislation, the decision is unilaterally imposed without public consultation.
2. Up to now, Beijing and #hkgov fail to provide details primarily about how DNA samples will be used during and after test, and whether those samples collected will be sent to Mainland afterwards.
3. Worse still, even the city’s head in charge of controlling #covid19 never heard of the plan. As a result, it casts more doubts on whether #China is imposing genetic surveillance in #HK while #hkpolice recently took DNA swabs of #hkprotesters under sweeping #nationalsecuritylaw
4. In fact, since 2017, China has built a nationwide database of DNA samples. In the pretext of free health checks, blood samples from millions of Uyghurs were gathered without consent.
5. DNA samples are used for tracking ethnic minorities and dissidents and also added to its sophisticated facial recognition systems, as per reports. As China is paving ways to extend its surveillance systems to #Hongkong, it is worrying that HK might soon become Xinjiang.

From anti-extradition law to anti-national security law, more than thousands of Hongkongers took to streets to protest against this highly controversial law since the new law will kill future democratic movements, and murder any slight chance to seeking justice in the city.
The law is fiercely imposed by Beijing upon the will of Hongkongers, without legislative scrutiny and public consultation. Even although tens of thousands of HKers showed their outcry against this draconian law, hkpolice crushed dissents with armed vehicles, water cannons, teargas and pepper balls.
For most people, the proposed national security agency is like the secretpolice branch in HK. The biggest concern is the arbitrary and politically driven interpretation of the law. When using the law in China, lawyers, journalists, NGOs, religious groups and citizens were accused of “inciting subversion” for just seeking justice for poisoned children in tainted-milk scandal.
Not to mention that expats will also suffer, especially when China is carrying out WolfWarrior diplomacy worldwide. In fact, two Canadians became the victims of hostage diplomacy as retaliation against the arrest of Huawei's Meng in Canada. Foreign reporters were denied entry for political reasons. The law poses a threat to all expats and travellers in this global financial centre.
Today’s protest is the prelude to a larger scale of protest before the announcement of the law. It is time for Hongkongers to fight back and safeguard our city. I call upon the world to standwithhk and oppose the passing of national security law.
