On May 16th 2019, my husband officially became a quinquagenarian. Yes. There’s such a word!

Many people consider the 50th birthday a milestone year and the golden jubilee for birthdays or anniversaries of any kind. But what do I get for a man whose only obsession (beside his wife and kids) is his camera equipment? From experience, I don’t trust myself in getting the right gear for him, so what were my other options?

If this place looks familiar to you it’s because Kualoa Ranch is most famous for being the movie location for over 70 Hollywood movies since the 1950s – Jumanji, Kong Skull Island, Pearl Harbour, Godzilla, 50 First Dates and of course … Jurassic Park!

TV shows like Hawaii Five-O, Magnum P.I. and LOST have also used the amazing backdrops of Kualoa.
What makes this place so awe-inspiring is the unique rock formation that just takes your breath away!
