Harmony between our different races and religions is a fundamental principle of our nation. We celebrate our diversity, and share each other’s customs and cultures.
Unfortunately, in many countries, we are seeing more cases where people reject diversity and inclusion. Just look at the extremist terrorist attacks in recent weeks - Orlando in the US, Dhaka in Bangladesh, Nice in France, Puchong in Malaysia - each incident chilling, driven by hatred, and heartbreaking.
In Singapore, we must always stay united as one people, and never allow any such event to break or divide us. – LHL

美台有許多共享價值，支持文化包容與多元性一直是美台雙邊關係中重要的一環。 文化新聞組組長蘇戴娜代表AIT參加在桃園龍岡舉辦的第十屆「米干節」。米干節推廣來自雲南及滇緬地區的傳統美食，這些美食是由一群移居至俗稱魅力金三角地區(桃園中壢/平鎮/八德三地交界)多年的少數民族所精心準備。「米干節」除了有美味的雲南菜，更有少數民族的傳統歌舞表演節目，實實在在地展現台灣社會融合多元文化的足跡。慶典儀式最後由桃園市長鄭文燦點燃象徵祈福的火炬精彩落幕。如果你錯過了這次的盛會，那麼，下次經過桃園龍岡時一定要來嘗嘗這裡的雲南美食！#culturalInclusion #culturalDiversity
Our shared value of cultural inclusion and diversity is an important part of the people-to-people ties that serve as the foundation of the U.S.-Taiwan friendship. Diane Sovereign, Chief of the Public Diplomacy Section represented AIT at the 10th Longgang Rice Noodle Festival in Taoyuan. This festive event centered around a variety of delicious Yunnan-Burmese cuisines, prepared by the minority groups from the Golden Triangle who have called Taoyuan their home for many years. The event included ethnic food and song and dance, and showcased Taiwan’s amazing culture of social inclusion and diversity. The festivities ended with an impressive torch-lighting ceremony led by Taoyuan City Mayor CHENG Wen-tsan. If you have not, you must try these traditional delicacies when you have a chance to visit Taoyuan!
這個世界之所以繽紛源於大自然能夠包容各種不同，
自由的白雲、蔚藍的大海、繁盛的草木與美妙的鳥鳴，
人與人之間也因為不同而能產生許多亙古流傳的佳話。
在我們看不見的地方，在陰暗的角落，在容易被忽略的周遭，
或許有人正處於水深火熱裡。
他們或許擔心，下一秒又會被誰給傷害。
他們或許恐懼，不曉得該用什麼面貌面對這個世界。

是縱使不同，我也絕對願意捍衛你生存的權利與自由。

Mother Nature fashioned a beautiful world by allowing diversity in the ecosystems.
Thank goodness for the diverse colors and sounds that combined to make the world an enduring beauty with white clouds, azure oceans, green flora and sweet melody of bird chirping.
Interactions between diverse people created tales that are cherished by many.
Perhaps some people are in distress in some darks corners that are often overlooked.
They are worried because they do not know who might to hurt them next.
They lived in fear because they do not know how to face the world.
So they choose to remain hidden at the bottomless pit and gradually lose themselves.
Just because they dare to be different.
They want the right to be heard, not charity.
They desire equality, not salvation from themselves.
Ultimately, we believed that love means tolerance, respect, and the willingness to fight for others’ right and freedom despite of difference.
Diversity makes the world an even better and gorgeous place.

2019年4月28日（日）、東京都渋谷区で行なわれた『東京レインボープライド2019』のパレードの映像です。
参加者10915人（52団体／41梯団）、先頭のスタートから最後尾がゴールするまで4時間15分もかかった大規模なパレードでした。
今回かなりの長尺になってしまいましたが、当日のパレードの雰囲気が少しでも感じてもらえたら嬉しいです。
