I remember my first Dilmah tea experience, not too long ago actually. It was part of my housewarming gift from my good friend Shum, and she told me she got me two lovely boxes of Dilmah tea to try.
Shum has always been like a big sister to me, from guiding me when it comes to creative writing, sharing new discoveries with me and making sure I stay grounded no matter what.
She told me that these were the two tea flavours she enjoyed and that she wanted me to try them. As a coffee lover, I was initially sceptical but after my first cup of peppermint tea, I was hooked. I’ve been ordering peppermint tea ever since, even at cafés where coffee is a feature! These days, I drink more tea that I do coffee, especially the peppermint flavoured ones.
It reminds me of my first tea experience, made possible by Shum. Like the boxes of Dilmah she got me, I'm sure she’s always going to introduce new things for me to try and learn in life.
