拆穿虛偽，不為北京、政府粉飾太平。
20年來，七一的意義不是「慶回歸」，而係香港人自己代表自己，上街表態，一步步走向民主。
今年七一，唔睇煙花，都唔會歡迎習近平，三點維園見！
【黑紫荊行動 — 一國兩制危在旦夕 民主自決香港前途】
響亮的名字，璀燦的外觀，「永遠盛開的紫荊花」銅雕坐落在嚴格排除異議聲音的會展廣場。恰如「一國兩制」—— 香港名義上高度自治，真正民主卻遙不可及。銅雕寓意香港永遠繁榮昌盛，此謊言早已被撕破，只見凋謝中的城市。
在習近平訪港前夕，我們以黑布網罩金紫荊雕像，象徵主權移交的真相在過去二十年一直被北京政府以「回歸祖國、繁榮穩定」的修辭蒙蔽。
黑色紫荊是一段深埋暗室的歷史。中英兩國利用六四屠殺的陰霾，排除香港市民的參與，匆匆制定千瘡百孔的《基本法》，佈下北京政府蛀蝕香港法治與人權的伏線。
黑色紫荊是香港人被蒙蔽的未來。新政府上場，但政治檢控、取消民選議員資格、紅色資本入侵、跨境綁架等仍然纏擾不斷，「一國兩制」的承諾岌岌可危，催促我們尋覓出路。
黑色紫荊是心存政治尊嚴之香港人的銳意。雨傘運動以來，民間承受來自威權的嚴厲打壓，但並未打挎抗爭者意志，捱過踐踏，我們會變得更堅韌。
在混亂不堪的時代，猶幸黑布沒有遮蓋了我們的雙眼。正如陳滅論七十年代反殖青年針對皇后像的行動：「這不是塗鴉，不是惡作劇，甚至不是行為藝術，而是憤怒！」這次行動，表達港人對北京政府出爾反爾的憤怒，亦為對香港政府二十年來不公不義的控訴。我們表明心志，並呼籲香港人在七一走上街頭，讓我們追求民主自決的信念和決心繼續燃燒。

【STATEMENT｜BLACK BAUHINIA ACTION】
26 JUNE 2017
HONG KONG — On 26th June, Demosisto, the League of Social Democrats and People Power convened at the Golden Bauhinia Square prior to the visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Golden Bauhinia Statue — a present sent by the Chinese government in celebration of the transfer of sovereignty in 1997, would be covered in black on this day.
The Black Bauhinia exposes the brutal truth behind the glorious rhetoric of ‘returning to motherland’, in which the British and the Chinese government in the 80s negotiated the city’s future without consulting the people. On the other hand, the black-cloaked statue symbolizes the hard-line rule of the authoritarian regime over the past twenty years, meaning that the Chinese government failed to honour the promises made in the Sino-British Joint Declaration, depriving Hong Kong people of civil and political rights to free elections and democracy.
The grip against civil society was tightened since the Umbrella Movement. China also interferes with the internal affairs of Hong Kong through various means. Our confidence in ‘One Country Two Systems’ has waned and is replaced by the fear of it becoming ‘One Country 1.5 Systems’.
This protest action aims to express our anger and disappointment against the administration for the major political blunders since 1997. We also wish to appeal to fellow citizens to take part in direct civic actions on 1st of July to demonstrate our aspiration to democracy and the right to self-determination.
