I don’t think I ever spoke openly about this on social media before but here it goes. This is my sister Leanne. 👭 She’s pretty much a healthy teenager now but 11 years ago, just as she was turning 4, she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma - in layman terms, she had cancer, one thats rare amongst chlildren. In a span of 3 years she relapsed twice, had multiple rounds of chemotherapy and spent half her childhood being in and out of the hospital. It wasn’t until my parents and her doctor decided to take a risk and perform a bone marrow transplant on her during her last relapse that she was fully recovered.
We are super grateful that my sister was one of the lucky kids that battled her way through but we know that not all kids make it and that therapy takes a serious toll on the mind, body and bank. Due to this, my sisters and I have decided to work together with @cratzeart to hold this weekends fund raiser to raise funds for @sccsmy to provide more support for kids that’s are currently going through the cancer battle. 💛 We have great activities planned out and yummy food by @urokojapcuisine to fill your tummies too!
