3 PHÉP MÀU CỦA TRÚC NHI VÀ DIỆU NHI
Sáng hôm nay, hai bé Trúc Nhi và Diệu Nhi đã tiến vào cuộc phẫu thuật dài 12 tiếng để tách đôi phần thân thể dính liền.
Sinh đôi dính liền là một sai lệch ở mức độ phôi bào có thể được gây ra bởi rất nhiều tác nhân, từ sai lệch rối loạn trong di truyền đến những tác nhân môi trường như hóa chất độc hại. Vì những bất thường này xảy ra ở mức độ phôi thai, hậu quả gây ra thường rất trầm trọng.
Những trường hợp sinh đôi dính liền là 1/200,000 trong số các trường hợp trẻ được sinh thành công. Tỷ lệ này thấp như vậy vì 60% sinh đôi dính liền bị chết trong giai đoạn thai kỳ. 35% trường hợp không thể qua khỏi 24 giờ. Cuối cùng chỉ tỷ lệ chỉ còn 26 cặp trên 100 trường hợp cặp song sinh dính liền có thể ra đời và sống sót qua 24 giờ đầu sau sinh.
Trong những trường hợp sinh đôi dính liền, nhiều cấu trúc, bộ phận có thể dính liền nhau từ khung xương, tim, ống tiêu hóa, tiết niệu,... khiến cho khả năng tồn tại của cặp sinh đôi là vô cùng mong manh. Dù cho Trúc Nhi và Diệu Nhi phải chịu những sai sót nhất định từ lúc sinh ra, cơ thể của hai bé vẫn may mắn phù hợp để duy trì sự sống, đó là phép màu đầu tiên. Sau 12 tháng, song Nhi không chỉ lớn lên về thể chất, mà còn học được cách nhượng bộ quyền kiểm soát các bộ phận chung như hậu môn, biết cách phối hợp 1 bé tiến 1 bé lùi để cả 2 cùng di chuyển.
Không phải cơ thể cặp sinh đôi nào cũng có đủ điều kiện để có thể thực hiện phẫu thuật tách đôi, có nhiều trường hợp khi những bộ phận trọng yếu như tim, phổi, gan,... dính liền, hay những bộ phận tay chân không đầy đủ, việc tách đôi gần như không thể thực hiện do kết quả phẫu thuật có thể rất xấu. Đó là phép màu thứ hai.
Cha mẹ các bé đón nhận tin dữ ở tuần thai thứ 16 khi phát hiện song thai bị dính liền vùng bụng chậu. Nhưng cha mẹ vẫn quyết tâm giữ con để hai bé có cơ hội được chào đời. Và không phải ê kíp bác sĩ nào cũng sẵn sàng chấp nhận mức độ rủi ro cao để đủ can đảm “khai sinh ra hai con một lần nữa với nguyên vẹn hình hài" như lời của TS-BS Trương Quang Định, Giám đốc Bệnh viện Nhi Đồng Thành Phố (TP HCM), trưởng ê-kíp mổ. Chính vì thế đây là phép màu thứ 3, được cố gắng mang đến bởi cha mẹ, y bác sĩ, tất cả những người đã góp sức chăm sóc và chuẩn bị cho cuộc phẫu thuật này - một phép màu được mang đến bởi cộng đồng.

Creativity and Fear

Here’s the thing I’m struggling with: of all the creative projects I’ve worked on, the ones that I’m proudest of are the projects where I’ve dived right in while experiencing Fear.
So what is this notion of removing Fear when it comes to Creativity? Perhaps – and I get nervous saying this – to live a creative life, we have to learn how to embrace and live with Fear. Perhaps Fear is the green light and indicator that while you’re stepping into the unknown, you’re also stretching yourself into territories you have not been before which leads to learning and growing and improvement. Perhaps being Fearless is the opposite of that – it means being safe, staying within the comforts of our familiarity, doing the same thing over and over again because we know it will bring the same results and that there will be no surprises.
I’ve learned that Creativity and Fear should be friends, but Fear sometimes likes dragging his friend Anxiety along…and Anxiety only anchors both of them down. The trick is to learn how to manage and leave Anxiety behind so that Creativity and Fear can continue marching on into magical forests to conquer mountains and slay dragons (I love Neil Gaiman btw. Hah!).
I also read the following by Elizabeth Gilbert, which totally resonated with me:
“I have come to believe that Creativity and Fear are in fact conjoined twins; they share all the same major organs, and they cannot be separated without killing them both. … They have to learn how to coexist, in other words, and you must learn to accept them both, if you want to invent things.”
Awesome. So let’s be friends, Fear! You're still a little crazy to me and I’ll still be looking at you suspiciously from the corner of my eyes from time to time, but here’s me, extending my arms, hoping that we’ll be able to be friends for life.
