The Verge รายงานว่า Intel Labs ได้มีการประดิษฐ์ "Enhancing Photorealism Enhancement" หรือผลงาน Machine Learning Project ล่าสุด โดยมีคุณสมบัติให้ AI สามารถเปลี่ยนภาพที่มีลักษณะสมจริง กลายเป็นภาพ Photorealistic เหมือนหลุดจากรูปถ่ายของจริง

Intel ทดสอบระบบ Enhancing Photorealism Enhancement ด้วยการเปรียบเทียบภาพในเกม GTA V ที่มีการปรับกราฟิกสูงสุด กับภาพ GTA V ที่ถูกดัดแปลงโดยใช้ AI ซึ่งพบว่าทั้งสองภาพมีความแตกต่างอย่างเห็นได้ชัดทั้งด้านแสง เงา และความคมชัด โดยหากไม่มีการเปรียบเทียบภาพ ผู้ชมหลายคนอาจเข้าใจผิดว่าภาพด้านขวาเป็นภาพจากโลกจริง โดยไม่ทราบความจริงว่าภาพมาจาก GTA V
