Bandai ได้เปิดตัว Tamagotchi รุ่น Limited ในธีม Neon Genesis Evangelion ที่ให้ผู้เล่นได้ฟูมฟักเลี้ยงดูเหล่าเทวทูต และมีเทวทูตให้ปลดล็อคกว่า 20 แบบ ตามความใส่ใจในการเลี้ยง และถ้าเลี้ยงดูดีพอ แฟนๆ จะสามารถฟูมฟักออกมาเป็นตัวละครยอดนิยมของซีรีส์อย่าง Rei Ayanami ได้ด้วย

Tamagotchi ธีม Neon Genesis Evangelion ได้เปิดให้สั่งจองแล้วในประเทศญี่ปุ่น และจะวางจำหน่ายอย่างเป็นทางการ ในวันที่ 13 มิ.ย. นี้ โดยแต่ละตัวมีราคา 2300 เยน หรือราว 660 บาท

นอกเหนือจากที่กล่าวไปข้างต้นแล้วใน Evangelion Tamagotchi ก็ยังมีมินิเกมต่อสู้ที่คุณจะต้องให้เทวฑูตของคุณหลบหลีกภัยร้ายจากหอก Longinus และความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคุณและเทวทูตคือสิ่งสำคัญมาก เพราะถ้าคุณดูแล Tamagotchi ไม่ดีพอ จะมี A.T. Field ขึ้นมากั้นระหว่างคุณกับเทวทูตด้วย

Evangelion Tamagotchi จะแบ่งออกเป็น 3 สี ตามสีของ Eva-01 Test Type, Eva-02 Production Model, และ Eva-00′ ซึ่งเป็นหุ่นรบ Evangelion ที่ตัวเอกทั้ง 3 ใช้งานในซีรีส์
