Since it’s Mukhtar’s birthday week, allow me to share a special story…9 years ago, on Mukhtar’s 5th birthday, we brought him to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts in Bullring (Birmingham) by his request. Yes, he’s a simple boy. It has always been doughnuts and only doughnuts for his birthday - bless him!
Since it was his birthday, the manager gave a special hat and balloon to the birthday boy. Being an innocent 5-year-old kid, he was over the moon eating his dream doughnut, wearing a cool hat and holding a balloon with his other hand!
After enjoying his birthday treat, we headed home. While waiting at the train station, Mukhtar spotted a boy staring at him. Without a moment’s thought or a single word from his mouth, he walked over to this boy (bear in mind that this was a complete stranger to him).
Everything happened so fast. I was so surprised when he handed both his hat and his balloon to that boy. Even the boy’s mother was shocked to see such a spontaneous action, and thanked the 5-year-old Mukhtar for his random act of kindness. He then walked happily straight back towards me with a big smile on his face.
I asked him, still in shock, "Why did you do that? You got it for your birthday. Won’t you be upset?"
And guess what my 5-year-old son calmly replied?
"Don’t worry, Mummy, I’m ok. I will pray to Allah to give me hundreds of balloons in return!"
At that very moment, I couldn’t hold my tears. Not only because I am proud of my 5-year-old son, but I felt blessed that Allah has sent him to teach me to become a better person.
So that’s why whenever people praise us for successfully bringing up a kind-hearted boy, we simply feel that we don’t deserve to accept the praise, because for us, our son is the one who taught us to be kinder - MashaAllah ♥️

【卓欣願望成真 與 草蜢 Grasshopper載歌載舞】
7歲的卓欣患有白血病，現階段仍在接受療程。卓欣父母希望透過願望成真基金，達成卓欣的願望以作鼓勵。當我們首次接觸卓欣時，她便很堅定地說出她的願望是與本港組合《草蜢》見面，並希望可以與他們握手、唱歌和跳舞。原來卓欣的父母也是草蜢的粉絲，草蜢的歌舞伴著卓欣成長，並給予她許多的正能量。
感謝草蜢和贊助場地及食物的香港麗思卡爾頓酒店，卓欣期待已久的願望日終於來臨。卓欣在父母的陪同下，坐上我們預先準備的豪華房車從家門出發到酒店，登上位於酒店118樓的OZONE。香港麗思卡爾頓酒店的總經理龐柏賢先生（Mr. Pierre Perusset）帶同禮物親自迎接卓欣，酒店職員更用氣球扭出卓欣喜愛的機械人送給她。
偶像草蜢出現了，有點害羞的卓欣最初表現得不太自然。為了打破隔膜，蔡一傑抱起卓欣，與她一起挑選她最喜愛的美食，當天的食物是酒店大廚專為卓欣精心炮製的；蘇志威拿出他與女兒親手製作的甜品給卓欣品嚐；而蔡一智亦即場畫了兩幅畫送給卓欣，第一幅是一隻啤啤熊，第二幅就是卓欣最愛的食物──雪糕。畫完後，他鼓勵卓欣說：「把這幅雪糕畫貼在牆上，鼓勵自己要堅強對抗病魔，以盡快可以吃到雪糕為目標。」終於草蜢三子的熱情溶化了卓欣的心，卓欣展開笑容與他們唱歌及跳舞。卓欣預先說好她最愛的歌曲有《失戀》和《我要跳舞》，故此草蜢耐心地教卓欣跳出這兩支歌的舞步。他們更帶來了限量版唱片，並逐一簽名來贈送給卓欣。
最後，草蜢偷偷錄影了一段勉勵卓欣的話，承諾邀請她參加他們的演唱會。我們相信有著偶像的鼓勵，卓欣必定會更堅強的面對療程。卓欣，加油！

【Dancing with “Grasshopper”- A Dream Comes True for Cheuk-yan】
The 7-year-old Cheuk-yan is under treatment for leukemia. Her parents hope that a wish granted by Make-A-Wish Hong Kong will bring the necessary courage to Cheuk-yan.The two parents are fans of the famed Cantopop boy group “Grasshopper”. Cheuk-yan grew up with and has always been motivated by their songs. Therefore upon our first encounter with Cheuk-yan, she already firmly stated her wish to meet with the vocalists. She would love to shake hands, sing and dance with them.
With our heartfelt thanks to both “Grasshopper”, and The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong who sponsored the venue and F&B, everything was well set for the big day. Cheuk-yan, accompanied by her parents, arrived in the hotel sedan and headed towards OZONE on the 118th floor. The Wish Family was greeted by Mr. Pierre Perusset, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, who brought Cheuk-yan a special gift. Another hotel staff then amused Cheuk-yan with a balloon robot.
When “Grasshopper” made their appearance, Cheuk-yan was a bit shy at the beginning. Remus broke the ice by holding Cheuk Yan and brought her to the buffet table to pick her favorite food from the many great dishes prepared by the chef specially for her. Edmond had even brought the dessert made by himself and his daughter for Cheuk-yan. And knowing that Cheuk-yan loves ice-cream, Calvin drew her two paintings on the spot, a teddy bear and an ice-cream. Calvin told Cheuk-yan to put up the paintings to remind herself that by staying strong against her illness, she will be able to eat the ice-cream she has longed for. The passionate “Grasshopper” soon earned Cheuk-yan’s heart, and the four of them started to sing and dance together. The boy group taught Cheuk-yan to dance for two of her favorite songs, “Falling Out of Love” and “I want to Dance”. They even brought the limited-edition CDs with their autographs for Cheuk-yan!
Lastly, “Grasshopper” secretly recorded a video to encourage Cheuk-yan, and promised to invite her to their concert. We believe that with the motivation from “Grasshopper”, Cheuk-yan will stay strong and get well soon. We have faith in you, Cheuk-yan!
