BMW 5系列小改款後，M5也於昨日一併更新了。除了外觀上的細微變動外。動力部分維持4.4L V8雙渦輪增壓引擎，馬力分別為600hp(一般版)及625hp(Competition版本)。
內裝最主要改變則是兩個12.3吋超大屏幕，另外則是導入了 iDrive 7.0 以及新增『無線』連接Apple Carplay / Android Auto 功能。
台灣引進時間尚未公布，有任何消息會跟大家update。

地表最強的BMW 5系列來了，全新的BMW M5 CS 比舊款旗艦版本 M5 Competition 輕了約 104 公斤，且動力又變強，V8 雙渦輪4.4升的引擎足足擁有635hp 的最大馬力，加上八速自排變速箱與 xDrive 全時四輪傳動系統，M5 CS 能用 2.9 秒完成 0-60 mph（96 km/h）、10.4 秒完成 124 mph（200 km/h）的加速。
車內也是滿滿的戰鬥氣息，四張獨立的碳纖維賽車座椅，競技化的方向盤等等，我相信都會讓你愛不釋手...原廠只開放一年給消費者預定，所以有興趣的性能迷趕快去訂車吧...
