Was just testing the lighting.
And so I look unready. But deep in thoughts.
Looking at many social media postings that are so commercialized got me thinking again. What do we share these days?
Do we still share our true feelings, stories, thoughts and even talents or do we share what it’s paid to share?
I love working with brands I love.
And I guess, similar to most audience, I still love seeing (and sharing) authentic and genuine posts to get inspired, entertained and sometimes even to feel instantly uplifted.
Along the way social media grows, it becomes a platform for all to not only share, but earn. And along the way ‘influencers’ focus so much on branding to a point where we forget about personal branding. Who are you? What do you do? What makes you you? Other than earning money, do we earn reputation? or respect? or admiration? Speaking of admiration, I meant admiration on what you do, what you give, but not what branded stuffs you hold and what shiny cars you drive. The value of your posts, doesn’t count that way.
I only share what I love, and so naturally, I love what I share. I choose what to share, I choose who to work with; I decide what to say, I decide how to tell my stories - because I know, I can never feel comfortable with everyone’s approval but not my own; because I know, you who follow me, wish to hear the words from me, hope to see the different sides of me other than those on tv or big screens, but not others.
If you’re on my page, you’d probably understand what I’m saying ♡ I still love social media so much the way I comprehend and appreciate it. Checking on Instagram everyday became a habit years ago and it’s still bringing me happiness. Thank you all for being here.

We can all make a difference in the world towards a better mankind. As 2019 has only 8 days left, I want to share and record some of my own discoveries in life with you. And I hope to explore what’s around the corner in 2020 that I want to dedicate more energy towards working on becoming a better version of myself.
#loveyourself ❤️❤️🥰🥰
A lot of times I find myself always looking for others approval and acceptance. Do you also feel the same way? 🤓🤓It could be from your partner, your boss, your parents, and your friends, the list goes on and on 😵😵 When I say that to my close friends, they would tell me “That’s normal, everyone’s like that. We all want others validation.” But as we spend more and more efforts trying to do things to get others approval or validation, it’s like slipping into quicksand where sooner or later you would start to loose your own ground and possibly loose yourself entirely. 😱😱This year, I’ve found myself in several occasions trying very hard to win people over and get their validation. I find this “me” a bit suffocating. Gradually I realised I want to have the ability to remind myself and stay focus on what has gotten me here in the first place. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
In 2020 - Instead of trying to seek for others approvals, I will expand my own understanding of myself, I will learn to graciously appreciate my achievements, and relentlessly critic my own flaws. 🤓🤓❤️❤️
What do you look forward to in 2020?

I had weddings both in Singapore and Japan so I made this comparison video. Marriage traditions and customs can be quite different in both countries. Watch till the end to find out some of the differences!

01:34 Timing to get married

My most memorable experience was preparing for Guo Da Li (As shown on 03:19). It's a Chinese tradition where the groom gives gifts such as pig trotters, alcohol, cash and mandarins to show respect and seek approval of marriage. In return, my parent in laws returned back some of the gifts, and also gave my wife and I golden rings. This is called Hui Li(回礼) and it's meant to share good fortune.
Having a Shinto-style wedding (called the Shinzen-shiki 神前式) in Japan was also memorable. It's the most traditional style of wedding in Japan but ironically, most Japanese couples prefer chapel-style weddings.
There are a lot of things I missed (like the Chinese tea-ceremony) so hopefully I can make a sequel someday! Thank you for watching. Please leave a like if you enjoyed!
