註：大陸名導馮小剛曾經因為愛妻徐帆落馬事件，公開辱罵金馬獎，後卻以演員身分榮登影帝，與金馬的關係簡直糾纏不清。今年沒意外的話，他除了以前屆影帝身分出席，大概也能以新作《我不是潘金蓮》獲得認可，提名最佳導演獎。

馮小剛在本片大肆變換畫幅，從圓形到方形到寬幅，實為大膽的影像實驗。而在內容則大肆諷刺官場文化，甚可能面臨遭禁的命運。馮小剛認為自己現在仍有任性的本錢，便放手一搏。日前他以本片榮獲多倫多影展的國際影評人費比西獎以及聖巴斯蒂安國際影展首獎金貝殼獎，顯然獲得了國際高度認可。

馮小剛作品雖曾提名過金馬獎最佳劇情片，卻從未提名過最佳導演獎。
