⚾️Let's celebrate #AmericaDayHomerun at Tainan Baseball Stadium on July 4!⚾️ #ThrowbackThursday: Did you know that U.S-Taiwan baseball exchanges started decades ago? Two former Major League Baseball players, Barry Larkin and Joseph Logan, visited Taiwan in 2010 as part of the State Department's Sports Envoy Program. The Sports Envoy Program aims to foster international understanding, promote gender equity, and encourage social inclusion in Taiwan and around the world. During their visits in Taiwan, they reached over 600 children and youth and provided intensive instruction in fielding, hitting and pitching, as well as talks that stressed the life skills that they learned from baseball, such as teamwork, leadership and focus.
